ickly.Forthistypeofmultirobotsystem,amotionplannerthatdoesnotneedglobalknowledgeorhighbandwidthcommunication,butthatcanstillplaninrealtime,isrequired.AmotionplanningsystemthatmeetsthisrequirementwasdevelopedbyClark2.ThealgorithmpresentedwasbasedontheplannerdevelopedbyHsuandKindel5.TheirworkdemonstratestheuseofaKinodynamicRandomizedMotionPlannerforasinglerobotmaneuveringaroundstationaryandmovingobstacles.Tohandlemorethanonerobot,theKinodynamicRandomizedMotionPlannerwasextended.Intheextendedplanner,whenrobotsdetectoneanotherusinglocalsensors,theycommunicatewitheachOther,usingaprioritysystem,therobotscoordinatetheirmotionplanstoavoidcollisions.Eachrobotcreatesaplanwithknowledgeofonlythefewobstaclessurroundingit.Byplanningaroundonlythoseobjectswithintherobotslocalarea,themotionplanningproblemisgreatlysimplifiedleadingtodecreasedplanningtimes.Whennewobjectsentertherobotsfieldofview,areplaniscalledfortoensurethattherobotstrajectoryiscollisionfree.Anexampleofasimulationinvolving10rovers,and5stationaryobstaclesisprovidedifFigure3.Smallercirclesrepresentthemicroroversasviewedfromabove,whilecrosses
