宣讲陈述技能课程教学大纲一、课程名称:宣讲陈述技能 Presentation Skills二、课程编码: 三、学时与学分: 34学时/2学分四、考核方式:课堂考查五、先修课程:基础英语、英语听说 六、适用学科专业:英语专业七、课程总体教学目的 1 了解并应用沟通的基本理论,发现并克服宣讲陈述中与听众沟通存在的障碍。2 学会如何进行听众分析及情景分析;针对不同听众确定宣讲主题,收集信息,组织信息,设计宣讲内容并有效完成宣讲内容。3 根据不同目的选择和利用不同的视觉辅助设备进行宣讲陈述,尤其是学会有效使用POWERPOINT软件。4 提高学生以英语为媒介进行公众演讲的能力,包括如何克服紧张心理,如何判断和使用肢体语言,如何控制声音并选择恰当的语言,如何与听众达成互动等。5 通过教师讲授示范和大量的课堂内外实践活动,不断提高学生在这一特定的沟通环境下进行沟通的能力,为今后的学习和工作打下良好基础。 八、总体教学要求: 宣讲陈述技能是英语语言与翻译专业的必修课,使用教学材料主要为香港公开大学网络教学教材和教师自编讲义。该课旨在培养学生针对不同目的和听众熟练利用英语进行宣讲展示的技能,从而为今后的学习和工作做好准备工作。通过对沟通理论的基本了解和分模块训练,使得学生能够针对听众和宣讲目的确定主题,设计宣讲内容并克服生理上、心理上、语言上等各方面的困难,将事先准备好的内容有效地传达给听众,并与听众形成互动,收到良好的效果。本课程的考核主要侧重于学生的实际应用水平。因为涉及课后大量的实践活动,因此有必要提高平时成绩。建议平时成绩占 40%,期末考查占60%。教学中需要注意的几个问题:强调语音和声音控制的重要性,要求学生课后大量练习。要求学生苦练语言基本功,只有具备良好的口语水平,才能更加有效地完成本课程。注重培养学生收集、整理资料的能力并鼓励创新性思维。设计合理和有趣味性的作业,激发学生学习兴趣。定期检查学生课后作业的完成情况,并作好记录。通过课堂每一次宣讲演示活动,培养学生良好的风范,包括站立的姿态、 说话声音的大小、音调的高低、表情、与公众的交流等等。九、基本教学安排本课程的总学时为34学时,持续一个学期,每周2个学时。安排在第2个学期。教学进度安排如下:第2学期:Unit 1: Fundmentals of oral presentation (week 1)Teaching objective: let ss know the main elments of the communication process, the barriers to communication and the ways to overcome them.
