Writing rules: 1. 描写事物或场所要抓住其特征, 要弄 清楚从哪些方面进行描述, 以区别于其 他的人或物。 2. 描写要有顺序。写人时多由上到下, 由表及里; 写物时由近及远, 由总体到 局部, 由主到次。,3. 表现手法多种多样, 语言要生动切忌平铺直叙, 用最小的篇幅给读者留下最深刻的印象。 4. 常见的描述家乡、学校、工厂、城市、名胜古迹、国家等常用语。 1) My hometown is on the railway line. 2) Our factory is neither too small nor too big.,3) Before liberation our country was poor and backward. The people there live a hard life. They suffered many hardships at that time. 5) Our country is a large one with a long history. 6) Great changes have taken place in my village in the past/last 20 years.,7) The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have been set up one after another. Now my hometown has become a rich and beautiful place. 8)The life of the people has been greatly improved.,9) In spring it often rains and the weather is changeable. In summer it isnt very hot. When autumn comes, it is bright and sunny. In winter its rather cold and often snows. 10) They are working hard so as to make our country still richer and more beautiful.,11) In the west suburbs of the city there stands a small village. Im sorry, but I dont agree. But have you considered that?,Sample dialogue: S1: Do you think it is right or wrong to teach wild animals to do tricks? S2: Well, I think its OK ! The animals have a good life in the zoo or park, so I think its no problem for them to learn to do something funny for us to laugh at. What do you think?,S1: Well , I can see your point, but I also see that its not natural. People have taken them out of their natural environment and then forced them to learn tricks. Wild animals are not pets! S2: Yes, I understand, but no one is hurting the animals! I think the animals really enjoy learning new things and have a good relationship with their trainers.,S1: That may be true in some zoos and parks, but I dont think most wild animals like to learn tricks they are being forced to do something that is against their nature. S2: Well, then do you think it is right or wrong to take wild animals out of their natural environment and bring them to live in zoos?,S1: I have to say I think its wrong. I think people should protect the natural environment for wild animals, not take them out. S2: But bringing the wild animals to live in zoos and parks has allowed scientists many opportunities to study them more closely. They have used this knowledge to help wild animals still in their natural environment.,S1: Yes, thats true, but they neednt keep the animals in the zoos for their whole lives, They ought to return the animals to the wild. I read that some animals in zoos have difficulty having babies. Some animals cannot
