5A Unit 5 What do they do?说课稿大村中心小学 颜莹莹Good morning, my dear judges. I am Yanyingying. Im from DaCun Primary School. Im glad to interpret my teaching design here. My teaching content today is Story time of Unit 5 Book 5A. This unit is mainly about what do they do ?Now, I will explain the lesson from the following aspects. 1. Teaching ContentsFirstly, lets focus on the analysis of teaching content. The lesson is a new one of Unit 5.In this class, it mainly deals with these key words, a teacher , a doctor , a writer , and a worker. And these main sentences what does your father do ? What does your mother do ? Hes/Shes a .Talk about the studentsSecondly, it is about the students. Our students are in Grade 5 .They are active and curious, interested in new things.After learning English for 2 years, they have some basic English background knowledge, so the teacher should attach importance to the communication with them, providing them the chances of using language. 2. Teaching aimsSo, I set the following aims.1. Aims on the knowledge(1) Students can read and say the new words: a doctor, a teacher, a driver, a teacher, a farmer, a writer, teach English, help sick people.(2) Students will be able to use the sentence pattern: What does your father do ? What does your mother do ?And can use He/She is a .to answer.(3) Students can understand the story, read the story .2. Aims on the abilities(1) Students can talk about What do they do ?.(2) To cultivate their abilities to introduce their familys jobs.3. Aims on the emotion(1) Arouse the students interest in learning English.(2) To encourage the students to talk about their parents jobs and enjoy the life.4.Key points1. Students will be able to use the sentence pattern: What does your father/your mother do? And can use He/She is a .to answer.2. Students can understand the story, read the story .5.Difficult pointsStudents can talk about their parents jobs.4.教法学法(Teaching methods) Fourthly, it talks about teaching methods. In this lesson, I will mainly use “Task-based teaching method”, “Communicative language teaching method” and “TPR teaching method”, and so on.5.教学过程Next, lets focus on the teaching procedures. I will finish the lesson in steps.Step 1. Greeting and Warming-upIt will cost about 8 mins.After greeting with the Ss, I will begin the lesson by singing the song My father is a doctor together with the Ss and teach the new words and sentences a teacher , a doctor , a farmer , a driver and what does she/she do ?Hes/Shes a .Purpose:The purpose of this is to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss, and, at the same time, it provides situations to learn the knowledge a teacher , a doctor , a farmer , a driver and what does she/she do ?Hes/Shes a . Step 2. PresentationIt will cost about 20 mins.With the help of the PPT, I set a situation of Mike and SuHai are talking about their parents jobs to stimulate the Ss interest of the lesson.1. Listen and answer. Please listen and answer who are they talking about?2.Watch and Match: Mikes father a writer Mikes mother a doctor SuHai s father is a worker SuHais mother a teacher 3.Read and complete:4. Chant: teacher , teacher . He teaches English . writer , writer . She writes stories . doctor , doctor . He helps sick people . worker , worker . She makes sweets . Use the pictures to let the Ss to understand sick people.The purpose of this is to let the Ss understand the whole Storytime, present the new words and sentences in the situation.It can facilitate the Ss abilities to pronounce the words, and help them to remember the spelling of the words.Step3. PracticeIt will cost 5 mins, including 1. Listen and imitate2. Read together3. Read in groups of 4, the Ss help each other if who has difficultiesThe purpose of this is to let the Ss read the text , understand the text.Step 4. DevelopmentIn this step, I will give Ss a free space to show their abilities.I will introduce my familys jobs , then, let the Ss talk about their familys jobs.Task-based teaching method and Communicative language teaching are used here.The activity is to develop Ss ability of communication, and also, their ability of cooperation will be well developed. Step 5. ConclusionTell the Ss that people work hard to make our life better. Love my job , love my colorful life. As a student , you should love your life , and study hard.The purpose of this is to stimulate Ss interest of learning English and teach them to love their life. Step 6.Homework1.
