摘要 掌握一门语言并不仅限于学习语言本身，还涉及到文化能力的培养，这是培 养学生交际能力的重要内容，也是现代语言教育的重要因素。本文对中英文化差 异进行可行性的描述，并对英语教师在口语教学中面对中英文化差异的策略进行 尝试性的论述。 语言习得者学习语言的主要目的是利用所学的语言进行交流与沟通。随着社 会的日益发展，跨文化交际变得尤为重要。然而，跨文化交际并不只是语言层面 的交际，它还涉及到不同的文化层面的互动。文化在相互交流的过程中，势必会 产生一定的误解和冲突。为了更好的强调文化教学以及文化差异的重要性，本文 回顾了国内外传统的英语教学模式，着重介绍了中国传统的英语口语教学模式。 由于历史等各方面的因素，传统的英语口语教学模式只注重语言形式，而忽略了 语言的文化环境以及母语与英语两者文化的差异。这种教学方式的推行，在一定 程度上会造成不可逾越的文化沟壑。中国学生很容易按照本民族的观念和标准去 “ 衡量和理解他族文化中的一切，比如行为举止、社会习俗、交际方式以及价值观 念等。 语言是文化的一部分，它随着文化环境的变化而变化。不同的语言承载了不 同的文化，同时又反映了某一文化的典型特征。教授一门语占也就是教授一种文 化，学习一门语言也就是学习一种文化。 本文首先对语言和文化的概念进行辨析，进而对语言与文化两者之间的关系 加以梳理。本文以中美文化差异为例，阐述了中、英两种文化差异的根源以及其 价值观念的不同，并重点阐述了中、英文化在交际中的不同层面。本文主要采用 调查问卷与实验研究两种方法，对义乌工商学院的2 0 0 名非英语专业学生的语言 使用进行调查，通过系统地阐述，对语言的操作本质加以解释，为从事外语教学 的教师提供一定的建议。 本文由五部分组成。第一部分简单介绍了研究背景和研究内容：第二部分阐 述了语言和文化的定义以及两者之间的关系，同时还回顾了国内外在口语课堂中 的跨文化教学；第三部分进行了中美文化两者的比较，主要从文化根源，文化价 值以及文化交际等方面进行分析；第四部分提出了研究问题以及实验步骤，并介 绍了实验方法，调查对象，以及研究过程等方面的内容，并对实验数据进行了详 i v 细的分析；第五部分提出了研究的结果，作者分析了中美文化差异对英语高职英 语i e l
