2010年上海世博展馆介绍 尼泊尔 阿曼 巴基斯坦Nepal PavilionPavilion PreviewTheme: Tales of Kathmandu City - Seeking the Soul of a City; Exploration and SpeculationHighlights: Soul of the Foreign LandNational Pavilion Day: September 3Pavilion Area: Around 3600 Square MetersLocation: Within Zone A of the Expo sitePavilion FeaturesThe Nepal Pavilion is an exquisite work of art with a large Buddhist pagoda as the centerpiece, surrounded by several folk houses representing styles from different periods. It showcases Nepalese artisans outstanding talents in art and architecture. Pavilion DisplayThe pavilion recaptures important historic periods in its greater than 2,000-year development as a center for architecture, art and culture. It also depicts the current urban expansion in Kathmandu, shedding light on the opportunities and challenges in environment protection and development of renewable energies. Pavilion HighlightsHighlight 1: Nepal Arniko CenterThe pavilion is named Nepal Arniko Center to commemorate the outstanding artisan Arniko, who contributed greatly to the friendship between Nepal and China in ancient times. The pavilion reproduces architectural designs since the 11th century, reflecting the process of urbanization in Nepal. Highlight 2: 350 families of craftsmenIncorporating Nepalese artistic tradition and innovative decoration ideas into its construction and exhibition, the pavilion uses about 500 tons of materials including wood, metal, bricks, porcelain and stone for exhibition and decoration items, all of which are handmade. Wood and clay sculptures will feature exquisite patterns, which have taken about two years for 350 Nepalese families to complete. Some skilled craftsmen came to the building site in Shanghai to add finishing touches to the pavilion. Highlight 3: Rally ContestArtists, musicians, dancers and other performers from Nepal will bring colorful shows to Shanghai. Interesting activities will be held both inside and outside the pavilion. A car or motorcycle rally will run from Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, to the Expo site. The rally will bring the eternal flame of peace to Shanghai from Nepal. Oman PavilionPavilion PreviewTheme: Oman - An Evolving JourneyHighlights: GanjahNational Pavilion Day: July 22Pavilion Area: Around 2,000 Square MetersLocation: Within Zone A of the Expo SitePavilion FeaturesThese structures are complemented by a stylised glass enclosure reminiscent of the prow of a Ganjah, one of the largest and most beautiful of traditional Omani sailing ships. The pavilion exterior combines elements of two of its famous historic forts. At the rear is the distinctive round tower of Omans old capital, Nizwa. In front, the elegant tower of Sohar, a port city once known as The Gateway to China, now once again welcomes visitors from Shanghai.Pavilion DisplayCombining Arabian features and modern styles, the pavilion will exhibit old Omani towns, cities in desert and mountain, and port cities. It will trace the countrys progress from past to present, capturing the nations intrinsic beauty, rich traditions, deep culture. The pavilion will also offer the visitors ever-unfolding experiences that binds buildings, roads, greenery and the remarkable geographical diversity that are uniquely Omani, as well as showcase initiatives that are making its cities more attractive to residents, tourists and foreign investors. Pavilion HighlightsHighlight 1: Varied GeographyThe pavilions interior is essentially structured as a journey through Oman, allowing visitors to experience and understand the varied geography that makes up the Sultanate - ranging from its desert interior to the grand austerity of its mountain ranges, to its rich marine life through to the stunning sub-tropical diversity of the southern region of Dhofar.Highlight 2: The Adventures of SinbadThe culture and social heritage will be the focus of the pavilions second section. Along the shipping routes of Sinbad described in the stories of 1001 Arabian Nights, visitors can visit the old port city Sohar, and then start from Nizwa, to the capital Muscat. The terminal is the Blue City which will be completed by 2020 and visitors will be able to leave Oman for Shanghai on a magic carpet. The magic journey is Omanis unique interpretation of the city.Highlight 3: Environment and SustainabilityToday, along with responsible ecological conservation and an environment conscious outlook, modern-day Oman is emerging as an elite travel destination. Throughout, Omans emphasis on a disciplined, sustainable development approach echoes the philosophy of Omans ancient civilisations, which understood how to survive in harmony with nature. Pakistan PavilionPavilion PreviewTheme: Harmony in DiversityHighlights: Lahore FortNational Pavilion Day: August 14Pavilion Area: Around 2,000 Square MetersLocation: Within Zone A of the Expo site Pavilion FeaturesThemed harmony in diversity, various aspects of the best of Pakistans cities will be merged into one showcase of culture, tradition, modernity and history. In the pavilion, visitors will be able to experience the life of a typical Pakistani citizen through detailed visual and multimedia presentations. Pavilion DisplayThe design inspiration of the pavilion comes from the Lahore Fort listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. At Expo 2010, Pakistan will create a replica of the Lahore Fort built of new materials with new technology. The fort which dates back to the year 1025AD is the cultural capital and heart of modern-day Pakistan. It was given its current design in 1566AD. The building is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Visitors will have a glimpse of the former royal garden at Expo 2010. Pavilion HighlightsHighlight 1: Display of Pakistans Customs, Culture and History through Multimedia PresentationsIn the pavilion, the long-lasting friendship between Pakistan and China will be showcased - the commercial relations, starting from the Silk Road, are the strong bonds between people of two nations.
