It is warm and along with the availability of plentiful delicious fresh fruits and vegetable, it is a lot easier to start and stick to a cleansing program. Eating light and raw food feels much more natural than in colder months, and these foods are also what our bodies naturally crave during hot days. Theres also a heightened sense of motivation, as we all want to look great in shorts, sleeveless shirts and bathing suits. When it is hot outside, we are naturally releasing toxins by increased sweating. Whether you are detoxing or just want to be good to yourself and your body, we have a short guide to healthy living in summer for you.健康夏日中医说在传统中医的观点中,夏日代表着能量和运动的向外释放。它是一年四季中阳气最足的季节,由火象主管,也是最会影响心和小肠的季节。经过了春天的酝酿后,也是成长,拓展,充分吸取光和充足能量的最佳时机。大自然中的植物也迅速生长,我们的生命力和体内的“气”也如日中天,正在顶峰。中医学说中,身心灵都是由火象主管,夏日我们更要细心照顾好自己,防止变得焦虑。当我们的身体保持平衡时,心脏可以把氧气十足的血液循环至身体的每个角落,确保小肠的消化功能能够顺利进行。头脑的敏锐度跟心灵的状态紧密联系,所以良好的记忆力,平稳的感情,和良好的知觉也与心灵和火象息息相关。当我们的内心平衡时,我们的思维平静,能够良好睡眠,醒来后感觉休息充沛。当心灵不平衡时,我们可能感受到缺少愉悦感,甚至沮丧或是抑郁。也可能会过度狂喜,严重的可至狂躁。心灵不平衡也可能有紧张,睡眠失调,肤色红燥,记忆困难,甚至话语困顿等症状。从感情上来说,夏日也是我们进行感情修复的最佳时机。保持心灵的空间,才能让我们有敞开心灵,接收爱,愉悦和开心的可能性。Healthy summer with TCMSummer in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) represents the outward expression of energy, movement and activity. It is the most yang of the seasons, ruled by fire. Summer in TCM is the season associated with the heart and the small intestine. It is a time for growth, expansion, light, abundance and is the manifestation of all we have been cultivating throughout the spring. In nature, plants grow quickly, and we are usually full of energy as the bodys qi and vitality are at their peak. In TCM, the heart, mind and spirit are ruled by the fire element and priority should be given to these important aspects of ourselves in the summer season, as they can easily become agitated. Physically, when we are properly balanced, the heart circulates oxygen-rich blood throughout the body, and assures proper assimilation in the beginning stages of digestion in the small intestine. Mental acuity is associated with the heart therefore memory, thought processes, emotional well-being and consciousness are also attributed to the heart and the fire element. When the heart is balanced, our mind is calm and we sleep deeply and wake feeling rested. When the heart is imbalanced, we may lack joy in our life, become depressed or have an excess of joy that can manifest in mania or manic behaviour. Some other indications of a heart imbalance are nervousness, sleep disturbances, heartburn and confusion, red complexion, poor memory and speech problems. Emotionally, summer is also the best time to heal emotional wounds that we have been carrying with us.
