山东省滕州市大坞镇大坞中学七年级英语下册unit 9 what does he look like(第三课时)section b(1a-1e)教案 人教新目标版learning goals: in this lesson, the students will learn to use “what do/ does . look like?” to ask about peoples looks. the ss should master how to tell the apperances of diffenert people with the words tall, short, heavy, thin, be of medium (build), have (has) .hair/ eyes/ face etc. after finishing the listening and speaking tasks. the ss can also learn to tell the looks of their friendss, families and classmates in our daily life.teaching and learning steps:step i . revisionshow four pictures of different people. suppose thet are the students friends. let the students make their own conversations according to the pictures with the sentence patterns “ what does he/ she look like? he/ she is.or he/she has.hair. ” ((1) a: what does he look loke? b:he is tall and thin. he has short straight balck hair.(2) a: what does he look like? b: he is tall and heavy. he has short curly brown hair. (3) a: what does she look like? b: she is thin and of medium height. she has long blonde hair.(4) a: what does she look like? b: she is short and of heavy. she has long straight black hair.(设计说明:创设情境,让学生结合情境进行对话,贴近生活,引导学生在实际运用中感知如何询问和回答他人的长相,做到学以致用。)step ii . pre-listening activities1. previewask the ss to translate the following chinese into english. first ask the ss to put them into english orally, then let them write english down without looking at the textbooks.learn the words by the students themselves.(1)(头发)金黄色的 _(2) 嘴 _(3)圆形的 _(4) 脸 _(5)眼睛 _(6)歌手 _ask the ss to translate the following sentences.(1)我最喜欢的歌手是约翰杰克逊。_(2)他又高又瘦。_(3)他留着棕色的卷短发。_(4)你最喜欢的女演员是谁?_(设计说明:本部分词组和句子为学生的预习作业,词组和句子都是本节课的重要语言知识,该部分预习内容可以帮助学生更有目的性的预习。同时通过检测学生的预习效果,教师可以更有针对性地教,学生可以更有针对性的学。)2. lead in(1)show a photo of a famous host li yong who works for cctv 3. tell the students to talk about what li yong looks like. to describe li yong more detailes, the teacher can give the students some clues such as in the ways of his hair, his build(height) , his face and his eyes. he is tall and thin. he has curly brown hair. he has a long face and he has small eyes.also, he doesnt wear glasses.(2)next, lets come to 1a. what do the people in the pictures look like?match the words with the pictures.check the students answers: d, a, c, b, c, a, b/c, b(设计说明:给学生一些提示,让学生从更多方面脸型, 眼睛大小,嘴型等方面介绍一个人的长相,从而更加详细的描述一个人。)step iii. while-listening activities1. listen and find the general idea.tell the ss that laura and bob are talking about two famous personsjohnny dean and tina brown. ask the ss to listen to their conversation and find out:the main idea (大意) of the conversation is _.a. johnny dean and tina browns friendsb. johnny dean and tina browns familiesc. johnny dean and tina browns jobs and looks2. listen to the conversation more carefully and find the details(1)listen again and write johnny dean and tina browns jobs in the chart.
