A Teaching Plan for Unit1Whats the matter,Period1.Teaching aims and demands.1. Knowledge objectives:Revise some words and expressions about food and drinks,fruit and vegetables.Revise some sentence structures:1) what do you have for your meals?2) Whats your favorite fruit/ drink?3) What should we do if we want to have a healthy diet?4) -Whats the matter with you? -I have a cough.2. Ability objectives:Learn how to describe your illnesses and how to give others suggestions when they fall ill.How to keep a healthy diet?3. Emotion objectives:Learn to take care of ourselves and others.Key and difficult points: 1. Learn the key words such as look pale, feel terrible.2. Learn to share your own pinion about healthy diet.3.Train students listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.Teaching methods: Ill use “Task-based teaching” method, “Cooperation” and “communication” method.Teaching aids: a multi-media computerTeaching procedures:Step1 Warming up and leading-in:Warm up by playing a guessing game and encouraging students to say something about it. Introduce my diet to the class to revise some words about food. T: Do you think I am healthy? S: Yes. T: So do you want to know my diet? Now guess what I eat for my three meals.S: For breakfast, I eat. For lunch, I eat. For supper, I eat.Step 2 PresentationLead the students talk about the importance of health.Health is just like the number “1” in the number 100,000. Without “1”, the number is meaningless. Similarly(同样地),without health, there is nothing.(设计意图:通过教师的引导,让学生明白健康的重要性,并让学生了解本课的语言目标。提升学生对健康的正确理解,增强学生参与的积极性。)Step 3 Toms diet Show the food that Tom often eats.T: look at Toms food, and think about the question if Tom is healthy. S: No.T: If Tom wants to be healthy, what should he do?S: Keep away from(远离) the unhealthy food and unhealthy drink.(设计意图:使用展示Tom的食谱,加强了真实情景的设置。从而加强了学生对于谈论真实饮食习惯的欲望。)Step 4 Small discussionT: As we all know, a healthy diet includes healthy food and healthy drink. Then what are healthy food and what are healthy drink?S1: rice, vegetables, fruit, meat are healthy food.T: anything else?S2: I also think water, milk, juice are healthy drink.(设计意图:承上启下,总结上面健康的饮食为下面引导提建议的句型作铺垫)Step 5 Advice collection.T: Ann is not healthy, she often gets cold. What should she do? Can you give her some advice.S1: She should eat some apples.S2: She are supposed to drink more milk.S3: She had better eat more vegetables.S4: Why not eat more pears and drink more water.(设计意图:在情境交际中让学生掌握交际用语,操练巩固重点句型,提高口语表达能力。)Step 6 Practice T: look at the picture and find out whats Peters problem. S: He is too heavy and not healthy.T: Can you give Peter some advice.Tip 1: Dont _.Tip 2: Youd better (not) _. (设计意图: 用于致用。)Step 8 Summary Have the students sum up the items in this class from the words, expressions, and grammar.Step 9 Homework: Write a short passage about how to stay healthy.(设计意图:通过作业的完成让学生进一步能养成健康的生活方式,能够更地道地使用英语来描述关于健康的饮食让人健康的话题) Students analysisThe students in Grade 9 review by talking about health and food. They are all active, curious and fond of games, songs, competitions and many kinds of activities. They enjoy learning in the exciting, interesting and relaxing atmosphere. In order to arouse their interest, improve the teaching efficiency, in this lesson I mainly adopt “Communicative” teaching method, “Audio-visual” teaching method and “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I let the Ss get a better understanding of the key structure of the lesson. I offer students some tasks like: talking, guessing games,
