Unit 2 communication workshopPeriod 9 Teaching aim:1. to improve the students listening ability as well as their speaking skill.2. to enable the students express their agreement and disagreement with proper words.3. to make the students talk their favorite sports stars.Possible problem:1. Students, if friends, may agree with each other in group discussion and so not practice disagreement. Grouping students in different groups may prevent this happening.2. Students ability to assess their own language skill will different.Teaching process:1. Let the students listen to the tape and guess the information about the athletes.2. To listen again and mark the expression.3. To ask the students read the sentences in function file to check answers in the previous step and then discuss the degree of agreement in pairs.4.
