1. Battery Pack Protection Function Test1-1. Over Charge Protection1-1-1. Test Purpose:Purpose of this test is to measure first level and second level of over charge protection.No fire, No smoke and all function are normal.1-1-2. Test Condition:Test in room temperature.1-1-3. Test Method:1. Use power supply (1) and LOAD to be the virtual cells voltage and current.2. Use power supply (2) to be the charge voltage 3. Adjust the voltage of the power supply (1) until the circuit enters first level protection status, and extract the waveform from the scope.4. Turn down the power supply (1), and extract the waveform from the scope for release point.5. Adjust the voltage of the power supply (1) until the circuit enters second level protection status, and see “Does fuse blow”1-1-4. Test Result:No fire, smoke and the all the functions are normal.11-2. Over Discharge Protection1-2-1. Test Purpose:Purpose of this test is to measure the critical voltage of over discharge protection and check the result if confirm the customers specification.No fire, smoke and all functions are normal.1-2-2. Test Condition:Test in room temperature.1-2-3. Test Method:1. Use power supply (1) to be the virtual cell and offer voltage.2. Adjust the voltage of the power supply (1) until the circuit enters protection status, and extract the waveform by scope.3. Set power supply (1) to protection point, about 2.60V4. Extract the waveform from the scope.5. Use power supply (2) to be the charge voltage (set 12600mV: 3080mA)6. Set power supply (1) to release point, about 3.0V7. Extract the waveform from the scope.1-2-4. Test Result:No fire, smoke and the all the functions are normal.7 1-3. Over Current Circuit Protection1-3-1. Test Purpose:Purpose of this test is to measure the discharge over current, charge over current at room temperature, and check the result if conform the customers specification.1-3-2. Test Condition:Test Temperature:Test in room temperature.1-3-3. Test Method:1. Charge the battery pack with DC power supply more than 4.2V/CC=4.0Acondition that charge until the circuit enters protection and extract the waveform by scope.2. Adjust loads loading current until the circuit enters protection status (6.5A, 10.0A), and extract the waveform from the scope.3. Release the loading and check whether the output voltage comes back.4. Measure the current value and delay time from the waveform of the scope.1-3-4. Test Result:No fire, smoke and the all the functions are normal.41-4. Short Circuit Test1-4-1. Test Purpose:Purpose of this test is to measure the battery pack and cell meets the safety requirements when pack shorted externally then checked the result if conform the customers specification.1-4-2. Test Condition:Test in room temperature.1-4-3. Test Method:a. value and delay time1. Use charger rating to short circuit battery when R.S.O.C is 10% and 100%.2. Short circuit the battery pack Battery (+) terminal and (-) terminal is shorted by a wire.3. Release the short circuit and check whether the output voltage comes back.4. Measure the current value and delay time from the waveform of the scope.b. short for one hour1. The battery (+) terminal and (-) terminal is shorted by a wire for one hour.2. Record the cells temperature, voltage, current.1-4-4. Test Result:No fire, smoke and the all the functions are normal.1-5. Reverse Charge Test1-5-1. Test Purpose:Purpose of this test is to measure the reverse polarity charging, and check the result if conform the customers specification.No rupture, fire, smoke and leakage, and all functions are normal.1-5-2. Test Condition:Test in room temperature.1-5-3. Test Method:a. value and delay time1. Use charger rating to reverse charge battery when R.S.O.C is 10% and 100%.2. Inverse charge the battery pack for one hour with power supply in the 4.2V/3080mA condition.3. Release the inverse polarity charging and check whether the output voltage comes back.b. Reverse Charge for one hour1. Use charger rating to reverse charge battery for one hour 2. Record the cells temperature, voltage, current.1-6-4. Test Result:No fire, smoke and the all the functions are normal.1-6. Over Temperature Protection1-6-1. Test Purpose: Purpose of this test is to measure whats point of temperature could let pack protection for charging and discharging and check the result if conform the customers specification.1-6-2. Test Condition:Test Temperature:Test in room temperature, please see Test Method.1-6-3. Test Method:1. The battery pack in the chamber 45 and 0then charge the pack, check charge over temperature protection is enable or not.Next change chamber temperature to60 and 0,then check temperature protection is disable and can charge battery pack.2. To put pack in the chamber at room temperature 25, then begin to charge the pack for DC4.2V/CC=3.08A.3. Adjusting the chamber temperature to over 60 then check charge over temperature protection is enable or not.And release condition 45.4. To put pack in the chamber at room temperature 25, then begin to discharge for 2A.5. Adjusting the chamber temperature over 70 then check charge over temperature protection is enable or not.And release condition 55.1-6-4. Test Result:No fire, smoke and the all the functions are normal.1-7. FET Failed Protection1-7-1. Definition:This test is measuring the accurate action of permanent fail, when charge FET and discharge FET turn off, but current exits.The fuse should blow.1-7-2. Test Conditions:Test Temperature:Test in room temperature1-7-3. Test Methods:1. Bypass C-FET and charge the battery (50mA) till PF flag2. Bypass D-FET and discharge the battery (50mA) till PF flag3. PF flag of battery status should set after 30S.1-7-4. Test Result:No fire, smoke and the all the functions are normal.2. Others2-1 Key Component Thermal Test2-1-1 .Test Purpose: Purpose of this test is to measure the battery pack and cell meets the safety requirements when
