Teaching ProceduresStep. Leading in1. After greeting the class, the teacher checks the students work which they have learned in the previous four units through asking questions one by one;2. Warm up and review by quickly reading the passage together loudly in 2d of Section A.Step. Self Check1. Have a competition to check how well the students have mastered the relationship among family members and the new words in this unit;2. Finish the blanks in a family tree and identify every member in the picture of my family.Step . Reading Practice (2b-3a)1. Before reading about Jennys family and circle the names, ask students to look at the two pictures in the book and find their differences;2. Ask students to read this passage quietly and circle their names;3. Explain the grammar points and difficult points in this passage and then ask some questions to check the students reading.4. Let students read the passage again and complete the sentences in 2c;5. Let students listen to the tape carefully and check their spelling in this work and their pronunciation in reading.6. To do a lot of reading practices about family members and their names and then fill words in the blanks in 3a.Step. Quiz1. Look the pictures and say the full sentences;2. Fill in the blanks with the right form of words;3. Finish the sentences according to the requirements.Step.
