人教PEP版三年级下册Unit 2 Part ATeaching Plan of Unit 2 My family Part A Lets talk & Lets learn单位名称:合肥市瑶海区合肥行知学校.Analysis of the text:This lesson is chosen from Unit2 My Family of Book2 in PEP Primary School English. It starts with the review of words “boy” and “girl”, then shows the new words” man, woman father (dad), mother (mom)”and how to use the sentence pattern” Whos that man? Hes my father. Whos that woman? Shes my mother.” This is a topic which is closely related to our real life. Students will be more involved in the situation of real life with talking about it.Analysis of students:The students in Grade3 are lively, with poor distraction. They like visual image thinking and show more interest in games, competition and drawing. Students in Xingzhi School learn English for a short time, and some of them cannot speak it fluently. So teachers should praise them more and cultivate their interest in learning English, encourage them to speak, to sing and to do.Teaching Aims:Knowledge aims:1. Students should be able to understand and say mother; mum; father; dad.2. Students should be able to understand and say He is my father./She is my mother./This is my friend.3. Students should be able to talk about their parents with friends.Ability aims: 1. Students should be able to know how to start a conversation on introduction.2. Students can develop their listening ability.3. Students can be aware that its very important to cooperate within the group. Emotional aims: 1. Students may be aware of the happiness in a big family.2. Students awareness of good co-operation and proper competition can be fostered. Teaching Key Points and Difficult Points:Key points: 1. Students should be able to understand and say all new words and phrases2. Students should be able to understand and introduce others.Difficult points:1. Students can pronounce “th” correctly.2. Students can distinguish the usage of “he” and “she”. Teaching aids:Pictures; Flashcards; PPT etc. Teaching Procedures:Step 1.Warm-up(热身活动)1Introduce myself and have a free talk. (Divide the class into two groups-boys and girls. Then give appropriate evaluation in the process of teaching. The evaluation of pasting letters not only can control the whole class, but also can reproduce the letters on a subconscious level.) 2. Sing Chant: He and she together.Design intention:At the beginning of the class, childrens tension can be relieved through the cheerful Chant, make the distance between teachers and students closer. Showing the Personal pronouns in the Chant can review the difficult point of Unit1 and lay the foundation of teaching this unit. Step 2.Presentation (新知呈现)1Introduce two friends of Miss Wang-Mike and Mary,encourage students to make friends with them, then teach: “Hes Mike. Hes a boy. Shes Mary. Shes a girl.” Pay attention to the pronunciation of “he and she”. Let students to introduce others around them using the sentence “Hes a boy. Shes a girl.”Design intention: The difference between “He” and “She” is a difficult point in the Unit1. The children show poor distinction between these two words. So its still a review, which reduces the difficulty of teaching “Man” and “Woman”. 2After introducing their classmates, the teacher shows a picture of a man and a boy; let students distinguish between a boy and a man. (Teach “woman” as the same way.) Then encourage students to describe like this:” He is a./She is a”Design intention: Through the contrast between the old and the new words, students can remember the meaning, sound and form of words well and they can pay more attention to the transfer of related knowledge and learning strategies. 3. Show some pictures of men and women and encourage students to say like this: “He is a/She is a”Design intention: The students in Grade3 are lively, with poor distraction. Mechanical drills alone will make children feel dull, reducing the learning efficiency, so the competition of matching pictures will arouse their interest, which accords with the psychological characteristics of the students of Grade3.4Show the photos of Yao Ming and Jin Guizi, let students ask and answer like this: “Whos that man? Hes Yao Ming. Whos that woman? Shes Jin Guizi.” 5. Show teachers family photo. Say:” This is my family. Do you know who they are?” Encourage students to ask, the teacher answers: “Hes my father. Shes my mother.” Then practice the words” father (dad), mother (mom)”. (Pay attention to the usage of “mom” and “dad” in the oral English.)Design intention: Students can easily learn English in the situation of real life. Because that knowledge is not isolated, Students will also be happy to participate in. (Showing the spoken language of parents make children feel the authentic language and culture, and enhance cultural awareness) Step 3.Sentence Practice (句型模仿练习)1. Show a family photo of one student, ask: “Whos that man? Whos that woman?” Let him answer like: “Hes my father. Shes my mother.” Then teach the main sentence pattern naturally.2. Show your family:Let students show their family photos and talk with their partners. (If they dont bring the photo, they can try to draw one.)3. Lets talk about your family. The teacher collected some students family photos first. If it is yours, please come to the front. Others ask and they answer using the main sentence pattern.Design intention: For Grade3 students, they will feel very proud of showing their family members in the discussion in English, which also makes preparations for affective infiltration.Step 4.Dialog Practice (对话模仿练习)1. Introduces that Amy is going to visit Chen Jie today,then asks: “Whos that man?” Watch the video Lets talk together. 2Watch again and repeat after the video. 3Role play the dialog.Design intention:The overall presentation of the main text can contact the words and sentences together, let the children have an overall perception of language and an experience in using the language in real situations.Step 5. Production (拓展运用)1. Introduce your friend to Miss Wang.2. Lets chant. Review the words “man, woman, father, mother,” and teach the words “tall, small.”(We can use our body language.)3. Emotional education: Show the public service advertisement FAMILY to guide children love their family.Design intention: the public service advertisement FAMILY can arouse childrens most real emotions in the depths of their heart and enhance their love to the family.Step 6.
