Step 4 Speaking Work in pairs to ask your partner where she/he has been to? Have you visited ? Have you been to ? Have you seen ? Have you tried ? Then let some pairs report their conversation. Step 5 Reading 1. Introduction of Singapore. 1) Look at some pictures and watch some videos about Singapore. 2) Talk about the symbol of Singapore. 2. A lot of animals only wake up at night wake v. 醒 来 ; 唤 醒 (woke woken) e.g. She went upstairs to wake John. 她 上 楼 去 叫 醒 John。 4. seem的 用 法 1) “好 像 、 似 乎 ” ,其 后 加 形 容 词 。 e.g. He seems unhappy today. 他 今 天 好 像 不 高 兴 。 She seems very sad. 她 似 乎 很 伤 心 。 2) seem + (to be) + n. e.g. They seem (to be) doctors. 他 们 好 像 是 医 生 。 3) seem + (to be) + 介 词 e.g. It seems like years since I last saw her. 从 上 次 遇 到 她 ,好 像 已 过 了 许 多 年 。 4) seem to do something. e.g. He seems to be happy. 他 好 像 很 高 兴 。 My mother seemed to know that. 我 妈 妈 好 像 知 道 那 件 事 。 5) It seems that + 从 句 e.g. It seems that he is happy. = He seems (to be) happy. 他 好 像 很 快 乐 。 Then let the students read the passage again. Step 7 Homework Make some notes about Singapore.
