Go on learing special questions with”what”.Step 1 Review First,let the students talk about the pictures,using”What color is this?”to review the colors theyve learned in Section A. Second,show the first picture of the national flag of Cuba.Let the students talk about it as quickly as they can,using the questions”What color is the flag?Where is he from?What color is his hair?What color are his eyes?”And then show another three pictures to let students talk about them with their partners like this.Finish 3Step 2 PresentationFirst,use a letter and a photo of Michael Jordan to learn and master the new words and phrases in 1a.Then let students listen to 1a and answer the question”What does Maria look like?”Check the answer.Second,find out the important language points,let students talk about them in groups.Then explain them.Master the sentence patterns.Ask students to listen to 1a again and follow it.Imitate the pronunciation and intonation.Finish 1a. Third,let students work in pairs and practice the dialog in 1a.And make a similar conversation according to 1a.Then act it out in front of the class.Finish 1b.Step 3 Practice First,let students master the descriptions with the right pictures.Learn the negative form of”has”.And then let them talk about the features of peoples appearances in the pictures in 2 in pairs,using”What does the woman/man/boy/girl look like?”Pay attention to the plural forms of”woman”and”man”,they are”womenand”men.Finish 2. Second,show a funny picture of Pan Changjiang,let students talk about it like Part 2.Third,play a game.Devide the students into two groups.Play the game like this:The students from Group A say the positive/negative sentences,and the students from Group B say the negative/positive sentences accordingly.Finish 5.Step 4 ListeningFirst,let students listen to 4 and color the snowman.Then,read the questions carefully and listen to 4 again ,answer the questions and then check the answers. Let students understand “snowman”and its plural form is “snowmen”.Finish Part 4.Step 5 Summary Point out the important words,phrases and sentences in Section B.Let students recite and master them.Step 6 Hom
