Lead-in Play a short video and ask Ss to see what will happen to the earth.Motivate Ss to think about the future of the earth. Step2. PresentationShow Ss some pictures of the differences between now and the future.Guide Ss to speak out sentences like this: There will be more people. There will be fewer trees.There will be more pollution.There will be less free time.Ss will get to know the differences between more/ fewer; more/ less.Step 3. Listening Work on 2a: 1. Read the sentences in 2a. Tell Ss they will listen to some sentences. They should listen and circle the words in the bracket. 2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the words. 3. Play the recording for the Ss to check the predictions they hear. 3. Play the recording again to check the answers. Step 4. Pair work 1.
