Use the structures: he/ she has. He/she is. He/she wears.to describe people.3. Grasp the usage of “ be” and “has”.4. Describe the appearance of others politely and correctly, and realize that cant judge people by appearance.2 Important and difficult points1. The usage of the words, phrases and structures in this period.2. Infer the person through the describing. 3 Teaching tools: textbook, ppt4 Teaching procedureStep 1: warming up and revision (8mins)1. Show some pictures to the students to review what have learnt last class. (3mins)2. Do a game. The teacher ask some students to describe any other student or some famous people by using “He has. He is. He wears.” and the teacher guess who are they. (5mins)Step 2: work on 1a and 1b (8mins)1. Match the word with the pictures, then the teacher check the answers. Ask students make sentences by using these words.(3mins)2. Read the phrases in the box in 1b and make sentences about famous people with the phrases, in this part, the teacher will show some famous people that students like to increase their interests.(5mins)3. Fill the 1b and check each other.Step 3: listening (16mins)1. Before listening: ask students to read the chart and the picture in 1c to imagine and discuss what will include in thus conversation with partners.(2mins)2. While listening: ask students learn to listen to the key words to decrease the difficulties of this conversation. And finish 1c after the first listening. Then finish 1d after the second listening. Finally, listen a third time to understand the key words. (9mins)3. Post listening: show the tape scripts to the students and role play it. And do a listening task.(5mins)4. The teacher check the answers.(2mins)Step 4: practice (5mins)1. The teacher show two or three pictures of some famous people, then ask two students from two groups stand behind the blackboard, then other students describe these people to the two students by using “ He/she has.
