七年级英语下册第九单元教学设计 民权县庄子镇第二初级中学 陈 兰 Unit 9 What does he look like?一、教学目标1.识记描述人物外貌特征的词汇short, long, curly, straight, tall, height, thin, heavy medium build 2.学会使用询问、描述人物外貌特征的句型。 a. What do you look like?Im short ,I have curly hair. b. What do they look like?Theyre of medium height. c. What does he/she look like? He/She is tall/short/thin/heavy. He/she has long/short/straight/curly hair 3.学会询问他人外表;学会谈论,描述身高,体重,发型,面部特征及着装等外貌特征。二 教学重点 1) What引导的询问外貌的特殊疑问句。 2) be, have的一般现在时用法。 3) 描述外貌的形容词。三教学难点 1) 注意比较动词“have”和“be”在对人物进行描述时的用法及汉语意思的差别。 2) 注意当句子主语是第三人称单数时,在句型What does he/she/your friend/Amy look like?中助动词用does,后面用动词原形look。四、课前准备教师:多媒体五、教学时间及安排: 第1课时:Section A1a1c 第2课时:Section A 2c- 3d 第3课时:Section B la2c 第4课时:Section B 3aSelf Check Period 1 Section A: 1a1cTeaching aimLearn the words about describing persons appearance. Ss:(yes)I think well have a good time.Do you think so?Ss:(yes) But who is your English teacher in Minquan Number.1 middle School? Miss Li? 1.Is she tall? 2.Does she has long hair? 3.Is she heavy?OK.Lets talk about the peoples looks, OK?OK.This class we will learn unit9T:Write the title on the blackboard.(Unit 9 What does he look like?)Step 2 New words1. Present new words.T:Please look at the picture1, Look, whos this woman? Can you guess?Shes Jack Rowling.what does she look like? She has curly hair. Teach the word “curly” several times.(Teach the other new words in the same way such as “straight, short, medium height, thin, heavy, medium build”.)2. Practice the new words.T: Look at 1a textbook page 49. Match the new words with the pictures as quickly as you can.(Then check the answer.)Step 3 Listening (1b)1. Look at the picture of 1a, listen and fill the blanks in the picture. (1b) Listen carefully and fill in the blanks and find Amys friend? We will listen twiceThe first time, just listenThe second time,listen and fill in the blanksAnd say the look of Amys friend( Hes really tallAnd he has curly hair.) Step 4 New drills1. Present the drillsT:Do you know how to use be /be of and have/has? Let at the screen, We can say someone is tall/heavy/thin,we can also say someone is of medium height/medium build,but we cant say someone has tall/heavy/thin.Explain these three groups like this,and then read together(Lets read together)Step.5 Practice A:What do you look like?
