Etc.Ability goals: To train students reading skills and help them grasp a reading strategy.Emotion goal: Love to grasp some good skills to go on self help or help others when therere some accidents. (重点 难点)教 材 分 析Teaching Key Point: The new words are too many to be remembered and some are difficult.Teaching Difficulties:Reading comprehension and skills; Memorize the new words and try to understand the article, learn to use some skills it mentions to help others or one himself.板书设计示意框图Unit 4. Then give them time to practice reading and then check by asking some pairs to have a race to read and spell them.Step 2 Practice 选择词语补全句子.come up with, get along with, in front of, take a long walk, without permission, come out1. Im afraid of speaking _many people.2. If you cant sleep at night, why not _before going to bed.3. Every time we dont know what to do, my father will _ some good ideas.4. Nobody could take away the books from the library_.Step 2 PresentationAsk two questions: What kind of accidents do you know of? What is the biggest problem a teenager has? Get the students to discuss in groups and then make them think and get some of the students to say their ideas in class. Step 3 Reading1. Say: First let me introduce Doctor Martin Robinson to you. Hes a famous doctor. And hes also good at writing. Well, his book has just come out since last month. Do you want to know it? Lets read the article and find the answers yourself, OK? 2. Say: Now you have understood who the doctor is and what he is good at. Lets read the text and try to answer the questions.1). What would you do if you cut yourself by accident?2).What would you do if you burned yourself? 3). What would you do if you injured your knee while running?4). What would you do if your grandmother fell downstairs?3. Then use the same way to deal with the second part of the text.4. After their reading, ask some students for the answers and check them together.5. Get the students to read the letter twice as possible to understand it well enough.Step 6 Practice1. First discuss the questions in 3a, and then get some students to answer and talk about their answers.2. How serious do you think these accidents and problems in the reading are?
