Unit 5Do you have a soccer ball ?王勤Analysis of teaching materials 本单元话题是围绕“谈论物主关系,提出建议,发出邀请”展开的。学生学会询问他人的实际感受并进行描述。同时培养学生学习兴趣,树立学生主动参与意识,培养学生自主学习能力。树立明确的学习目的,用英语进行情感交流。学生在活动中学会与人合作。另外学生能够了解不同国家的主要文娱和体育活动。美国喜欢橄榄球,英国喜欢足球。对别人的邀请作出恰当的反应。并用合理的方式表达自己的感受。本单元需教学的语言知识是:1have一般现在时用法;2一些体育名称词汇;3表达感受的几个形容词,4. Do you v (行为动词)?Language Goals In this unit students learn to ask and answer questions about ownership and make suggestions.1. New words:n. soccer, ball , tennis , racket , ping-pong volleyball, basketball, bat, sports, sport, club, class, day , collection. v. have , has, sound , let , watch , play adj. many , more ,interesting , borring, fun, difficult, relaxing, great, every, only And the other words. The phrases: soccer ball, tennis racket, play sports . sound great, watch TV, have fun. doesnt =does not lets = let us 2.The sentences:Do you have a basketball ?Yes, I do.No. I dont.Does he / she have a pingpong ball ?Yes, he does.No, he doesnt.Lets watch TV.That sounds great. etc.Ability aims Students talk about ownership using “Do you have ? No ,he doesnt .背景知识现代篮球的起源 1891年,在美国马萨诸塞州斯普林菲尔德基督教青年会有一位叫詹姆斯-奈史密斯的教师。他见到学生们由于怕冷,在冬天里不敢到户外活动,但待在室内又闷得荒:为了让学生在冬季也能锻炼身体,他就想出了一个有趣的游戏。他弄来了两个盛梨用的圆木筐,然后把它们分别钉在学校体育馆二楼走廊两边的护栏上,这就成了第一个“篮”球场。而学生们则分成两边,争抢一个皮球,看哪边把球投进对方的次数多。刚开始,学生们为了个皮球抢得乱哄哄的,跟玩橄榄球似的;于是他又制定了一些简单的规则,让这项运动更能体现人体的柔韧性和灵活性。这种简单的运动很快便得到了大家的认可。 这种运动就在北美地区普及开来。1896年,在新泽西州的特伦顿举行了第一场正规篮球赛当然,这种正规只是相对当时的条件而言的。接着,那些爱好篮球的人们便组成一支支球队,有了最初的俱乐部。Teaching course The First PeriodSectionA(1a2c)Knowledge aims 1. Yes ,he does ./No ,he doesnt .2.Get students to listen to and understand the listening materials.Teaching aids Some pictures of the balls ,and other normal teaching tools .Teaching procedures Step 1 Lead-in and learning the new words.1. Go on learning the other words by showing the pictures or some objects.2.Read aloud the new words on Pages 2526 by themselves.3.Have a reading words competition between boys and girls.Step 2 Matching the words with the picturesFinish 1a .1. Ask students to read the new words from 1 to 6. Then tell students No.1 is given.2. Get students to match the new words with the pictures one by one in rows. Step 3 ListeningFinish 1b .1. Before listening . I show a basketball, and say, and write the following sentences on the blackboard.I have a basketball.Do you have a basketball ?Yes, I do . / No, I dont. 2. Play the tape the first time, Students only listen. Play it again, students listen and circle the new words they hear.3. Check the answers.Answers:Circle : pingpong bat, computer game.1.Before listening , show a picture of Yao Ming with a basketball, ask and answer the questions like this, T: Whos that?Ss: Yao Ming .T: Yes . Yao Ming has a basketball. Yao Ming has a basketball. Does Yao Ming have a basketball ? Yes, he does. No, he doesnt . 2.Finish 2a and 2b. First look through the pictures in 2a , then play the tape twice , ask students to listen and number the pictures. Check the answers.Answers:3, 1, 4, 2. Ask students to look at the balls, say out the names of each different ball in 2b . Play the tape again, students listen and write the numbers from the pictures in 2a next to the correct balls. Step 5 Summary1.Show some pictures of different balls , students say out the names of the balls together.2.Read aloud the sentences on the blackboard together.Homework1.Copy the new words5 times each word.2.Recite the sentences in Gramme Focus.Design for the Blackboard Unit 5Do you have a soccer ball ? basket + ball basketball Do you have a basketball?foot + ball football soccer ball Yes , I do . / No, I dont.volley +ball volleyball Does Yao Ming have a basket ball?ten nis tennis racket racket Yes, he does.pingpong ball No, he doesnt教学反思:这是本单元第一节课,虽然课上的还行,但我觉得还需改进。大多数的课都是用实物或图片导入。本课时用音乐导入要比图片导入效果更好。比如,用比较激昂的,铿锵有力的,适合赛场上的音乐。如“足球”(the Song of Football),播放这样一段音乐,导入球类运动的学习。将图片,实物,音乐融为一体,我想如果是这样的话,课堂的氛围会更好,更能激发学生的兴趣。 课外练习根据句意和图片提示写单词,使句子完整,通顺。1.I have a _ball 2.
