Talk about weekend activities. Teaching aids 教具多媒体课件. Teaching Steps Step 1 Review 第一步 复习(时间:4分钟)小组比赛,复习过去进行时, 做到温故而知新。(1)Play a game The teacher tells the first student of each group a sentence. Then the 1st student tells the 2nd one. Do this to the last one. Lets see which team is the fastest.(2)In the same way to talk about what you were doing at this time yesterday.e.g. A: What were you doing at this time yesterday? B: I was reading English at this time yesterday. What were you doing at this time yesterday, C? C: I was(通过这个活动,可以培养学生的竞争意识和合作精神。)(表扬优秀小组,鼓励稍差的,并指出不足之处。)Step 2 Lead -in 第二步 导入(时间:6分钟)Make the Ss discuss the following questions in pairs.1. What do you often do on the weekends?2. Do you like the weekends? And why?3. What stories do you know about the weekends?Then the teacher tell the Ss something about the weekends and teach the new words and expressions: holy; pray; closed; solve; factory; tooto ; stop doing sth. ( 通过两人一组讨论, 和随后老师的讲解引入新的知识从而自然过度到新课。)Step 3 Presentation 第三步 呈现(时间:15分钟)1.Read the passage and fill out the tableTimeWhat did people do on weekend?before 1800in the early 1800sby 1930by 1940(通过学生自读1a后,让学生抢答问题,并核对答案。)2. They felt too tired to work on Monday mornings.注意:tooto表示“太而不能”例如:她太小还不能去上学。 She is too young to go to school.随堂翻译:(1).他太弱(weak)还不能走路。He is too weak to walk.(2).王先生太老了,爬不了山。Mr. Wang is too old to climb the hill. 拓展:tooto可以和sothat+否定句互改同义句。例如:She is too young to go to school. =She is so young that she cant go to school.随堂改写同义句:(1).The boy is too short to play basketball. =The boy is so short that he cant play basketball.(2).Im too tired to do housework.=Im so tired that I cant do housework. (2.At one oclock, everyone stopped working.注意:stop doing sth意为“停止正在做的事”例如:When the baby saw his mom, he stopped crying (停止了哭泣cry).拓展:stop to do sth 意为“停止一件事去做另一件事”例如:We are tired. Letstop to have a rest(停下休息一下)我来用talk填空:When the teacher came in, the students stopped talking; when the teacher went out , the students stopped to talk. 老师走进来时,学生们停止说话;老师走出去时,学生们又停下来开始说话了。 (3.The two-day weekend began.基数词-名词的单数或基数词-名词的单数-形容词,该结构只能放在名词之前作定语。例如:This is a three-leg(三条腿的) chair. She is an eight year-old(八岁的)girl.我来填空: We will have a seven- day(七天的)holiday. This is a three-meter-tall(三米高的)tree. 拓展:基数词+名词(可单可复)+形容词, 该结构通常放在be之后作表语。例如:The boy is ten years old (十岁了). (师生对话,导入2a。)T: We have known how weekend began. What do you usually do on Sundays? Please let us know how you spend your Sundays. Please go.S1: I often watch TV in the morning and do my homework in the afternoon.S2: I usually do some reading.S3: Sometimes I go to visit my grandparents by bus.S4: T: How did Kangkang spend last Sunday?
