八年级下册unit7Section A3a读写课 教学设计 一. 教学内容分析这是一节读写课,选取的短文是新目标人教版八年英语下册Unit 7 Whats the highest mountain in the world?SectionA 3a部分的一篇阅读短文:Qomolangmathe most Dangerous Mountain in the World?本课时以谈论世界之巅珠穆朗玛峰的奇险之实、登顶之绩以及登山者的不屈的精神为主题,并以此作为写作范例,进一步开展写作教学。二学情分析 本节课谈论的是神奇的大自然的鬼斧神工珠穆朗玛峰,虽然距离遥远,但通过观看视频及网上媒体对珠穆朗玛峰的介绍,学生对此话题并不是很陌生,再加上前面2个课时的学习及八年级上册unit3和unit4的学习,学生基本上掌握如何运用形容词比较级和最高级谈论一件事物。学生具备了一定的语言基础,本节课的学习就水到渠成了。三 整体设计思路1、对阅读部分的处理:采用skimming 及scanning等阅读策略引导学生阅读。首先让学生整体感知短文的主要内容,然后引导学生深入细致阅读,让学生了解短文的主要意思和细节,通过整合教材,降低难度及利用不同的评价方式帮助学生关注和提取信息。最后再过渡到整体,呈现全文的脉络结构。2、对写作部分的处理:给学生搭设三层“脚手架”给予辅助。即首先观看五指山相关图片,激活学生学过有关山脉特征的词汇,以小组合作形式讨论并写出山脉特征的单词;接着引导学生理解并运用阅读短文中的重点句型结构;再次分析这篇短文的写作框架结构及语言表达;然后进行仿写短文,最后小组内相互交流、修改及选出一些作品进行展示。四教学目标1. Knowledge goals: To be able to read and write more words about mountains and talk about the features of them by reading a passage about Qomolangma and writing a passage about Wuzhi Mountain.2. Ability goals: To be able to read a passage about a mountain by using the correct reading skills (skimming, scanning) and write a passage about Wuzhi Mountain by using the target language.3. Moral goals: students will be able to have a feeling of protecting the environment and loving the nature. 四、教学重点、难点1、Teaching key points:1) How to read the passage by using the correct reading skills and get the useful information from it.2) How to write a passage about Wuzhi Mountain.2、Teaching difficult points:How to write a passage about Wuzhi Mountain.五、教学方法1. Teaching methods: Task-based teaching method, communicative approach2. Learning methods:reading skills (skimming, scanning) imitating, cooperating and writing skills (copy writing)六、教学准备Some pictures about Wuzhi Mountain, the learning paper(导学案)七、教学过程、Revision and warming-upShow out a picture of a teacher climbing mountains, students look at the picture and talk about which mountains they know in China, compare the mountains in height, and then talk about the features they know about the mountain.(设计意图:通过大屏幕展示与山有关的图片,让学生再次运用学过的形容词副词比较级和最高级的用法,从山的高度方面进行比较,既是对已有知识的巩固,也是为下一步在短文中继续学习目标语言提供知识储备)、Pre-readingAsk students to talk about what they know about Qomolangma, and try to list the feature of Qomolangma.(设计意图:通过观看珠穆朗玛峰的相关相片,谈论珠峰的一些显著特征,让学生熟悉阅读话题,使学生学会预测内容,激活学生已有的相关语言知识,激发学生阅读兴趣,为下一步的阅读中活动做好铺垫。)、While-reading1、SkimmingAsk the students to look at the title and read the passage quickly and match each paragraph with the main ideas in activity 3a.(设计意图:阅读要从整体语言输入入手,整体感知短文的主要内容是阅读教学中的主要策略,即引导学生抓住短文的主要内容。)2、ScanningAs the students to read the passage carefully and fill in the blanksfeatures (特征):Why risk their lives (攀登者为什么去冒险呢?)Address(地址):_Reason(原因):_Climate(气候):1._2. hard snow3. _4. heavy stormsSpirit(精神):1. never give up trying to achieve our dreams.2. _High:_(设计意图:在整体语言输入的基础上进行分层语言输入。即引导学生深入细致的阅读。目的在于让学生了解短文的主要意思和细节,通过整合教材,降低难度及利用不同的评价方式帮助学生关注和提取信息,从而使学生更好地理解短文内容。)、Post-reading1. And what words and expression we can use to describe them.(设计意图:通过总结如何描述一座山,引导学生从本文中收集重点词汇及短语,为后面的活动做好语言素材的准备) Sentence WritingGuide the students to learn to use some useful sentences according to the passage in 2b like this.The Himalayas run along the southwestern part of China.Qomolangma rises the highest and is the most famous.It is 8,844.43 meters high and so is very dangerous to climb.Why do so many climbers risk their lives?(设计意图: 引导学生理解2b短文中的主要句子、难句并学会运用主要句型结构,为下一步写好短文扫清语言表达障碍。)2. Wuzhi mountain is beautiful and we should protest it.High1876 meters(设计意图:引导学生运用本课时所学的目标语言知识、收集到的重点词汇短语以及上面的写作框架来描述五指山,让学生做到写的过程中心中有备无患)3. Post- writingAsk the students to exchange and check their work with each other in groups, and then show them out.(设计意图:写好之后进行组内相互交流、修改,然后选出一些作品进行展示。目的是使学生灵活地运用本课时所学过的语言,强化所学的知识。即突出了语言的输出过程。)、SummaryLet the students sum up what they have learnt in this class.
