Emotion and Value Goals: 1.Help students be able to talk about different weather with partners freely. 2.Learn more culture about western countries. 3.Believe in yourselves and enjoy the joy of learning English.教学重难点Important points: words and sentences about weather; Improve listening skills and spoken English.Difficult points: the pronunciation of the words, especially the city names; Make conversations.教学方法Task-Based Language Teaching, Communicative Teaching, 3P Teaching 教具Ban on Multimedia, Books, chalk课时分配Period1 Section A 1a-1c period2 Section A 2a-2d period3 Section A Grammar Focus-3cPeriod4 Section B 1a-2c period5 Section B 3a-Self Check二次备课建议教学过程教学过程教学过程Period 1Step1 Greeting 1.Greet the whole class; 2.Ask the students to turn their books to page37 and let them know we will learn Unit7 Its raining today.Step2 Lead in Watch a video and share the song Hows the weather.Step3 Presentation 1.The teacher ask The song is about ? ,then lead in learning new words. 2.Look at the pictures and learn new words and sentences oneby one.New words: weather, sunny, cloudy, windy, snow, rainSentences: Its sunny. Its cloudy. Its windy. Its Snowing. Its raining. 3.Guessing game: show some pictures and ask students to guessthe weather. The students should hand up quickly and tell the answers, and they can get 2 red stars for encouragement. 4.Task 1a: a. Ask the students to match the words with the pictures by themselves. b. Check the answers together. c. Learn more words on the blackboard: rain- raining wind- windy cloud- cloudy sun- sunny snow- snowingStep4 Listening 1.Before listening: a.Look at the pictures and learn the city names: Beijing, Moscow, Toronto, Boston, Shanghai. b.Tell the students how to get important information while listening. 2.While listening: a.Listen and understand the conversations. b.Listen again and write these city names in the boxes. While they are listening, the teacher walk around the classroom quietly to know how the students finish their listening. 3.Post listening: a.Check the answers one by one,and give 2 red stars to the students whose answers are all right. b.Read and learn the listening materials.Step5 Pair Work 1.Let the students know how to make their own conversations and make an example: A.-Hows the weather in Beijing? B.-Its sunny. Hows the weather in Shanghai? A.-Its cloudy. 2.Divide the students into groups and ask them to practice the conversations in three minutes. 3.Show time: Ask five groups to perform their conversationsand the others listen to them carefully. The best group can get red stars for encouragement. 4.Practice all the conversations together.Step6 Relaxing Time 1.Learn some different cultures between the western countriesand China:In China: 你吃了吗? 你去哪里啊?In England: The weather is great ! Its a lovely day, isnt it? 2.Learn more,倾盆大雨: rain cats and dogsStep7 Sum-up 1.词汇 1)名词-形容词: wind-windy sun-sunny cloud-cloudy rain- rainy snow-snowy 2) 动词- V-ing: rain- raining snow- snowing 2. 句型 -Hows the weather.?天气怎么样?
