Section A 2 (Grammar focus-3c)汕头市屿北初级中学 陈绿茵教材分析:这是第三单元的第二课时的内容,其中心话题围绕Talk about personal traits and compare people这个题材开展多种教学活动,本节课是本单元的重点,通过听、说、读、写来培养学生综合运用知识的能力,通过有限的课堂实践活动,能准确地用英语在交际中运用本单元的话题对自己与他人进行描述,作出比较并进行判断。并让学生能在“做中学。”通过听、说、读、写来学习比较等级句型,加深对比较等级的语法现象的理解和运用,培养学生综合运用知识的能力能初步运用这一语言结构进交谈,为后面 Section B 的学习打下基础,在本单元中起着承上启下的用。 通过本课时的学习,能培养同学间的友好相处,规范自己的行为,同时能提高他们的观察能力和判断能力,激发他们对学习英语的兴趣和热情,在接近生活常态的交际中能乐于模仿,敢于开口,积极参与,主动请教。在此之前,学生已掌握部分形容词、副词词汇的比较级规则变化。所以,这些对学生来说有一定的基础,掌握起来不会那么吃力。学生学情分析:我们教学的对象是初二学生(以中等生为主),他们学习英语有较强的记忆力和模仿能力,有待培养知识的扩展运用能力。,有较强的求知欲和表现欲,但部分学生存在不自信,羞于表现等思想顾虑,但又希望能得到他人的肯定。因此我在教学活动中尽量让他们参与到活动中来,有更多的机会来说英语,减少他们的恐惧感,缺少丰富的语言基础,对某些任务的完成有一定的难度,通过学生间的合作学习,降低他们的学习难度,使他们体验到成功的喜悦。同时在阅读和书面表达中加以落实,提高他们综合运用语言的能力,使各层次的学生都有所收获。一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:1) 复习巩固形容词的比较形式及对两者进行对比。2) 进一步总结所学的对两者进行比较的句式结构。3) 能运用所学的目标语言,进行说与写的活动,完成相关任务。2. 情感态度价值观目标:学会与朋友友好相处,培养乐观,积极向上的性格。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 总结形容词及副词比较级的构成方式。2) 进一步总结对两者进行比较的句式结构。2. 教学难点:1) 总结形容词及副词比较级的构成方式。2) 能运用所学的目标语言,进行说与写的活动,完成相关任务。三、教学过程. Revision 1. Show the rules to Ss形容词或副词比较级的构成: l 一般在词尾 + er l 以不发音的字母e结尾的+r l 重读闭音节词词尾只有一个辅音字母时,先双写辅音字母再+erl 以辅音字母+y结尾的单词,变y 为i+er l 多音节词和部分双音节词前加more. Presentation 1.Show some pictures on the big screen. Let some Ss compare the things. T: Lets compare the things. Ss: Zhang Hans T-shirt is bigger than Zhang. S1:Jordan is shorter than Yao Ming . S2:He Jiong is thinner than Du Haitao. .(让个别学生单独对比)T:因此,当两者进行比较时,就会用到比较级. 那么,让我们一起来找出比较级句型的构成规则。2. Try to summary 比较级观察两组句子,总结规律。第一组:1.Zhang Hans T-shirt is larger than Zhang Jies.2.Liu Xiang is shorter than Yao Ming.3.He Jiong is thinner than Du Haitao.4.ZiWei is quieter than XiaoYanzi .第二组:1.Zhangjie sings better than Lu han .2.Liu works harder than Lu.3.The subway runs faster than the bus.1.形容词比较级:两者进行比较,表示“一方比另一方更”(1)肯定句: (A比B更) A + be + 形容词比较级+than+ B.(2)否定句: (A没有比B更) A + be +not + 形容词比较级+than+ B.(3)一般疑问句: (A比B更吗?) Be + A + 形容词比较级+than+ B?2.副词比较级:(1)肯定句: (A比B更) A + 实义动词 + 副词比较级+than+ B.(2)否定句: (A没有比B更) A + 助动词(do/does/did)+not+实义动词 + 副词比较级+than+ B.(3)一般疑问句: (A比B更吗?) 助动词(do/does/did)+ A + 实义动词 + 副词比较级 +than+ B?3.“比较级and比较级”意为“越来越” 。多音节比较级用“more and more形容词原级”形式。E.g. Its getting worse and worse. The group became more and more popular. 4. 当询问两者中谁更 / 哪一个更 / 什么更时,常用句型“Who / Which / What+ be + 形容词比较级, A or B?”和“Who / Which / What + 行为动词 + 副词比较级, A or B?”。E.g. Which is better, the red pen or the black pen? Who dances better, you or your sister? 5. 使用形容词比较级时需注意以下几点:1) than后面接代词时, 一般要用主格形式, 但在口语中也可使用宾格形式。 如: My brother is taller than I/me. 2) 当需要表示一方超过另一方的程度时,可以用much, a lot, a little, a bit, even, still等来修饰形容词比较级。注意: 比较级不能用very, so, too, quite等修饰。如:He is much more serious than Sam.2. S2:.T:因此,讲述两者在某方面相同,就要用到原级, 形容词/副词的原形就叫原级。那么,让我们一起来找出原级的构成规则。原级观察两组句子,总结规律。第一组:1.Fan Bingbing is as beautiful as Yang mi.2.Liu Xiang is as famous as Yao Ming.3.He Jiong as funny as Du Haitao.第二组:1.Xue Zhi Qian sings as well as Eason. 2.Liu works as hard as Lu.3.The subway runs as fast as than the bus.形容词原级1)肯定句: (A某方面和B一样) A + be + as +形容词原级+as+ B. 2) 否定句: (A某方面不如B) A + be + not +as/so +形容词原级+as+ B. 3) 一般疑问句 (A某方面和B 一样 吗?) Be + A + as+ 形容词原级+as + B?(2)观察几个句子,总结规律1.Xue Zhi Qian sings as well as Eason. 2.Xue Zhi Qian doesnt sing as/so well as Eason. 3.Does Xue Zhi Qian sing as well as Eason?副词原级1)肯定句 :(A某方面和B一样) A + 实义动词 + as + 副词原级+as + B.否定句: (A某方面不如B) A +助动词(do/does/did)+not + 实义动词 + as /so+ 副词原级+as + B.3)一般疑问句: (A某方面和B 一样 吗?) 助动词(Do/Does/Did+ A + 实义动词 + as +副词原级+as+ B ?III. Practice 1. 学生齐读Grammar Focus中的句子2.Work on 3a: Use the words to write questions and answers. 1) Julie / tall / youQ: Is Julie as tall as you? A: No, she isnt. Shes _ than me. 2) Jack / run / fast / Sam Q: _ A: No, he doesnt. He runs _ than Sam. 3) your cousin / outgoing / you Q: _ A: No, she isnt. She is _ than me. 4) Paul / funny / Carol Q: _ A: No, he isnt. He is _ than Carol. 3.Work on 3b: Think of yourself two years ago. Write about how you are different now. 1. Ask Ss to think of himself/herself two years ago. Write about how they are different now. 2. Give an example: T: S1, Are you taller now? S1: Yes, I am. Im taller than I was two years ago. T: Pay attention to the tense. “I was two years ago.”3. Ss work by themselves. Read the sentences in 3b and write the other four sentences. 4. Check the answers with the class. IV. Group work 1. Tell Ss to read the chart first in 3c. Make sure they know the meaning of the words in the chart. 3c Compare your parents. Check () who is smarter, funnier, etc. in the chart.
