Unit 12 What did you do last weekend?Section A (1a-1c)石室初中青龙校区 周莹About the teaching materialThe topic of this unit is weekends activities. Ss are hoped to recall what they did last weekend and talk about how they feel about it. There are two functions of this unit:to “talk about past events” using “How was your last weekend?” and adjectives of description ;to “talk about activities last weekend”. Both functions will be realized this class.Teaching purpose 1. Knowledge goals:1)words and expressions: camp, lake, beach, badminton, camp by the lake, go camping2)Sentence pattern:Where did you do last weekend, Lucy?I went to summer camp.How was your weekend? Pretty good, thanks 2.Ability goals:1).Improve the listening skill : understand a text by listening the materials, by reading the pictures and speech bubbles2). Improve the speaking skill: Study the new phrases by making sentences and dialogues.3.moral goalsNobody likes a boring weekend. So we should plan our weekend carefully and enjoy a wonderful weekend!4. Key and difficult points:1. Teaching procedureTeaching ProcedureActivitiesPurposeRevision:Revise the simple present tense by asking “what do you usually do on weekend?复习旧知Warming-up&Lead-in “How was your last weekend? What did you do last weekend?” 以旧知引新知,接轨学生实际生活Presentation:Step one: Work on 1a 1.read the picture in 1a, then answer the questions below. 1).Whats the relationship between the two students? 2).Where are they? 3)When is it now? 4)What are they doing about? 2.Match the activities with the pictures by ipad. 3.Write “do homework” below “did homework” 4. Play a game “I say, U say”. 5. Do another game. Let students say out these expressions fluently.1、1a 为听前活动,引领学生认真读图,图形结合,熟悉短语后,有助于降低后面听力难度。2、 匹配活动简单,又在上课前半段,可以用智慧课堂的抢答器或者点杀器,进行问答,激发学生参与性。3、 现代教育技术的使用,学生在书上写出各种动词过去式所对应的的原型,拍照、上传;教师展示、评价。4、 “I say, U say”活动灵感来源于演唱会中常见的歌手与粉丝互动,通过此活动,让学生再次熟悉动词原形跟其过去式。Step two: 1.Before listening. ask students to read the instruction. Read each picture, be ready for the listening. 2.While listening. 1).Work on 1b. 2).check answers like this: On Sunday night, Lucy did homework. 3. Role play 4. talk about Lucys weekend.1、 听前准备,让学生认真阅读每张图片下方的时间,做到有针对性地听。2、 听后检查时,使用智慧课堂小组积分框,吸引同学们积极回答,为自己小组出力点赞。3、 利用光盘视频,带领学生身临其境Role-play,。Step three: 1.pair work. Talk about your last weekend with your partner. 2. Show them some pictures about their classmates. Ask and answer.提升,结合学生实际生活,与本单元语言目标接轨,谈论自己的上周末活动。Step four: Lets play. Group work. Make up a conversation in the group. Make it funny and interesting.课堂翻转:前一天将视频传给学生们观看,内容为几名办公室成员周一见面在办公室谈论各自上周末活动的情景。组织学生模仿编写对话,谈论同学们的周末活动。Homework Make an interview on the phone: Call your family, relatives or friends for their activities last weekend, take notes and make a report next class.Blackboard design Unit 12 what did you do last weekend?
