Its Chinese meaning is 这是她的狗。（点击课件）We also say The dog is hers. 这条狗是她的。（点击课件）The two sentences have the same meaning.(这就是通常说的同义句转换)。为了避免重复，就不说这条狗是她的狗。由于her, (展示先前的卡片) their, our, my, your是形容其他物体的，不能单独使用。故用另外一个词hers. 在her的后面加上s（新图片展示，粘在黑板上） 意思也是她的，它是名词性的，可以单独使用。Follow me, hers, hers. her + 物体=hers 。 So, her dog is hers.
