Daily greeting and a free talk: Talk about the days and lessons2. Sing a song in Unit 2: A quick review of the seven days in a week3. Pairwork: Ask and answer. Talk about Days and lessons with the key words and sentences given below.Step 2 Lead-in1. Have a brief overview of the lesson.2. Create a real language environment with pictures. Help the students understand better: Zhang Peng is making an appointment with Oliver on Saturday morning. Make a preparation for the listening practice.3. Listen to the dialogue with the question in mind. Choose the right picture and tick it. Then listen again and mind the students to get the key words for phrases they heard. Check the answer.Step 3 Presentation1. Present the picture of Zhang Peng and Sarah in the park. Lead the students to see the picture. Activate their imagination. Talk about the picture. Also, show the key words: the time and place, the things in their hands, etc. Explain the new word “park” with the phonetic symbols.2. Show more pictures about park in our local area in order to help them stand better.3. After seeing so many pictures, direct the students attention to the dialogue. Raise three Multiple-choice questions which are adapted from the key sentences in this lesson. Watch the video of the dialogue and get the main idea. Check the answer and explain why.4. Try two more TF questions for further understanding, emphasizing the key phrases. Tell the students to read carefully and underline the key words or sentences on your textbook if necessary. Check the answer.5. Do some reading practice: A. read in roles. B. read alone. C. read in pairs. D. read in groups.6. Finish the gap-filling task by reading from beginning to end.7. Present the key words and sentences and explain them with dynamic pictures: often(经常;常常)read books(读书;看书)Do you often read books?(你经常读书吗?)Yes, I do.(是的,我经常读。)No, I dont.(不,我不经常读。)8. Show some examples about the sentences: Chen Jie and Sarah are talking about their weekends.Step 4 Consolidation and practice1. Work in pairs: Use the sentence structure to talk about activities.2.
