Castle High School (1993-1997)Project Involvement,Management and Accomplishments Contributed heavily to the development and design of the IT server and applications database housed on SQL Server for CIGNA Government Services. The database contains all servers with hardware specifications, IP configurations, applications support scripts, shares, data flow information, etc. Scripted and developed numerous data transformation packages for CGS with production support monitors and notifications in order to ensure data delivery success and minimizing transfer failures. Created a new inventory database at Sanford Brands, Inc. consisting of all IT related assets spread among 4 sites: Sharpie Manufacturing Plant, Eaton Packaging and Display Building, Liquid Manufacturing Technical Center and the Distribution Center. The database catalogued for the first time, all IT assets into one location for easy asset management. This was authored to integrate into the corporations future asset management through Track-IT. Scripted files and settings transfers for end-users at Lockheed Martin for a seamless transition should their machines be upgraded or reinstalled. This allowed for a backup of stored data within the users profile to be captured and brought back down to the new installation and consisted of both data and settings (printers, mapped network drives, etc.). Assisted the systems engineers at Lockheed Martin in scripting update files to have on hand for techs on the floor. These batch files were used to make sure that all appropriate updates and package installations were installed on Lockheed systems whenever a technician was at a machine. This helped in keeping all systems up to date and current and worked to ease reinstallations of programs should they be needed. Worked side by side with the COTS team at DOL (US Department of Labor) in the development and implementation of the Windows XP rollout and upgrade from Windows NT. The project was in support of the OASAM (Office of the Secretary) network and consisted of 4,000+ end-users. Worked with the COTS team at DOL in the upgrade of the Departments remote users from Windows 9x to Windows XP. This consisted of 300+ end-users spread throughout the US and abroad. As the remotes administrator, I worked with COTS in developing silent installation packages for a seamless transition as well as thorough documentation for the end-users to follow. Authored numerous technical documents for rollout procedures geared to the end-user. Some of these were for various operating system rollouts, McAfee upgrades, VPN Software installations, etc.HistoryExperience: Systems and Database AdministratorModis ITSupporting CIGNA Government ServicesAugust 2007 Present Production support for 4 SQL Servers (2000 and 2005), 3 Application Servers (Win 2000 and 2003 Server), 1 File & Print Server (Win 2000) and 1 IIS Server (Win 2003) (IBM X-Series) Monitoring and troubleshooting for maximum server uptime Authoring and monitoring SQL Jobs, Queries and DTS packages for data retrieval, transfers and transforms Scripting for various daily tasks Testing & Development support for IBM FileNet project, supporting a user-base of 50+ developers (Room configurations, cable dropping, desktop support, etc.)Systems AdministratorMMD Services, Inc.Supporting Sanford BrandsMay 2007 August 2007 Supporting the network infrastructure at 3 locations: Shelbyville Pencil Street Plant, Shelbyville Distribution Center and Lewisburg Paper*Mate Plant Training and conference room setups for software training and deployment Network closet cabling, administration, organization Administering Windows based servers, updating on a regular basis and cataloging update and support needs of the network Identifying problematic network issues and proposing solutions Warehouse WMS server administration (Unix based) Switch deployment AP deployment for the wireless network User account setup and termination Hardware and software support for all 3 locations PBX phone support, analog and VoIP Printer setup and support, both hardware and softwareExperience (Cont.):Senior Computer Support SpecialistTEKsystems, Inc.Supporting Lockheed MartinSeptember 2005 May 2007 Supporting the Information Technology Groups network at the enterprise level with over 1,500 end-users in a LAN/WAN environment Setup closed networks for DOD classified lab use in both a domain and workgroup setting Administer networks on a case by case basis including server administration for small node networks Maintain backups on a weekly basis using Veritas software, organizing tapes for onsite and offsite storage Inventory and organize new equipment Maintain lab equipment and organization Primary return to service technician for notebook and desktop workstations Tech-refresh systems in an effort to keep the network specs above standard Support end-users via SMS, Remote Desktop and Dameware remote software Organizing and administering help desk tickets using the Remedy Help Desk and Asset Management software VPN support using Contivity VPN Client with both dial-up and broadband users Administering security for network shares and user accountsRemotes Specialist, TechnicianSystems Plus, Inc.Supporting The Department of LaborSeptember 2001 January 2005 Remote access support in the enterprise environment for the Department of Labor in the ECN.
