Can we give a clock to a Chinese person as a present? Why?2. What color paper would we use to wrap a present? Different countries have different customs. Step 5 Free talk.1. What do you know about Colombia?2. What do you know about Switzerland? Step 6 Activity 3a.Read the article quickly and answer the questions. Step 7 Activity 3b.Ask Ss to read the passage again and complete the chart. Step 8 Pair works.Ask Ss to role-play a conversation in this situation:A new student from England is going to take class at your school. Fill in the chart with the things he or she is supposed to do inside and outside the classroom. E.g.:A: Can you tell me the things Im supposed to do?B: The first thing is to greet the teacher.A: OK.
