As a matter of fact,opportunities are supposed to be more perceptible and welcoming thanchallenges. The truth is, however, we will lose more opportunities when wechoose to take the opportunity fork at the crossroads. The other fork, ignored by us and defined as fearful challenges, offers much more chances for the walker in competition. We have such an inclination(倾斜) in life to overestimateourselves and hold a thoughtleattitude towards the negative outlook of things.We believe in the old saying, Opportunity knocks but just once, so we always welcome it and devote all our spirit and efforts to it. The most devout believer of this saying are the graduates. Why? There are quite a number of them who pay full attention to positions in big cities and are willing to flood into developed areas under any circumstances, even though there will be too much uncertainty for their choices. Innumerable cases go straight to the same miserable end: God seems to refuse to help too many of His worshipers.In conclusion, to define the quality of competition seems to be far from valuable sense, for no matter what a competition is, an opportunity or a challenge, it will create nutritious elements for our growth.So take a positive look at everything around. Today the title of my speech is the present is my top concern.Actually I got the assigned title just the day before yesterday. So, as you might imagine, I was so anxious about this speech contest at that moment. Because Ive got no draft yet while I got only two days to prepare for my speech. And I finally found out what I concerned most at that moment was just that moment itself.We view our life as a long trip, and we each have an ideal destination. But some of us valued that destination so much that they missed the beauty alone the journey. Some of us valued that destination so much that they got afraid they fail to get there. But sooner or later, they will find out theres no such a destination to arrive at once and for all. So why dont we just cherish the moment right now instead of wasting time striving for a so called destination?John Lennon once said life is what is happening while we are busy making other plans. However, cherishing the moment doesnt mean we dont even think about or make plans for the future. The truth is, we are not going to worry about the future. Cherishing the moment can just enable us to discover the beauty of life and enjoy the richneof life. It is not accomplish of our goal, it may be just a good begninning; it is not achievement of another seashore, it may be just the fair-weather on the day we set out; it is ont a matter of flowers, applause or success, it is a great chance which god provides us, helps us to realize our dreams, it is an advantage we won over for our success, it may be just a platform to show ourselves, maybe just a proper position. But if you are right at a window of an opportunity, “take it, seize it and make good use of it.” I believe in an old saying, Opportunity knocks but just once,everyone is longing for an opportunity, but once an opportunity goes by, cause of some objective or subjective reasons, they hesitate, thereby, time flies and opportunity is gone. It is too late when you realize this problem, but the opportunity never returns. So, when an opportunity comes, grab it tightly, and devote all our spirit and efforts to it. God seems to refuse to help too many of His worshipers.Then, what about challenge? Challenge is a new or difficult task which test our ability and skill. It is not just hurdles on the way, it is the spirit of drawing sword; it is a chance to say “I can”, it is a fighter, a sense of courage, the fearless spirit towards all difficulties, it is the untamed spirit resourced from our deep inside. Many people are afraid of challenging or being challenged, worry about change, failure or other factors. But I think as a human, we should welcome challenging and as a man, we should welcome being challenged. We should be challenging, there are so many things arounds us which should be broken, such as the old, the stereotype, research fields and so on. The more challenging the better, the more challenging, the more chances we get to improve our world. Also we should enjoy being challenged. It is a world full of competitions, if you avoid it deliberately, you will fall behind very quickly. If you are challenged, first rule, dont be frustrated. If you are right, its a victory for you and if you are wrong or say not perpect, its also an supplementary for you or your knowledge, you have also learned a lot of things. What did you lose! Its a win-win strategy! Why feel frustrated? So, enjoy being challenged, its also a state of mind which make you to improve.Secondly, whats the relationship between the opportunity and challenge?Its obviously that these two themes always come along. No challenge,no opportunity, vice versa. Every Chinese people will never forget that during the 2008 summer Olympic games held in Beijing, eyes all over the world were focused on our country.
