2、s the GV at the vertex. From the vertex, a branch emerges and stretchs to the temple. v The straight portion of the meridian enters and communicates with the brain from the vertex. It then emerges and bifurcates to descend along the posterior aspect of the neck. Running downward along the medial asp

3、ect of the scapula and parallel to the vertebral column, it reaches the lumbar area where it enters the body cavity via the paravertebral muscles to connect with the kidney and join its associated organ, the urinary bladder.v The branch in the lumbar region descends through the gluteal area and ends

4、 in the popliteal fossa. The branch from the posterior aspect of the neck runs straight down along the medial border of the scapula. Passing through the gluteal region and descending along the lateral aspect of the thigh, it meets the preceding branch descending from the lumbar region in the poplite

5、al fossa; from there, it descends through the gastrocnemius to the posterior aspect of the external malleolus. 11、n lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 2nd lumbar vertebra(L2). Indications: disorders in urinary system and genital system. Dizziness, tinnitus, deafness, lumbago, kidney deficiency syndromes, enuresis, nocturnal emissions, impotence, premature ejaculation, infertility, sterili

12、ty, urogenital system diseases, irregular menstruation, leukorrhea. Needling method: Perpendicular insertion 0.5-1 cun.
