ICBCReleasedtheStressTestingStudyOn23rdMarch2016,ICBCreleasedtheachievementsfromthe“StudyontheStressTestingfortheImpactofEnvironmentalFactoronCreditRiskofCommercialBanks”atthe“Thefutureofgreenfinanceinternationalevent”inLondon.Andrewvoyseysays,thishaspowerfulimplicationsforfirmsofalltypes.Asknowledgeandmethodologiesdeveloptoenablefinancialinstitutionstofactorenvironmentalrisksintodecisionsaboutwheretheyputtheirmoney,firmsseekingtoraisedebt,maintaintheirequityvalueorbuyinsurancemayincreasinglyfindthattheirmanagementofenvironmentalfactorsisadecisivefactorintheircostof,orevenaccessto,capital.SeanKidney,CEOandcofounderoftheClimateBondInitiative,saidtheICBCresearchishelpfultoaccelerateglobalgrowthofthegreen-financemarket.MatsOlausson,senioradviserofclimateandsustainablefinancialsolutionsattheSEB,said“whatICBChasdoneisapplaudable,andhighlightsthefactthatincreasinglythefinancialindustryneedstoconsidersustainabiliyintheirdaytodayactivities.”1.4
