1、Unit 5 Lets celebrate 说课稿一Teaching material analysis.Today Im going to talk about the reading part of Unit5, Oxford English 7A. First of all,Id like to talk about my understanding about this lessonThis lesson is a reading passage. It plays a very important role in the English teaching of this unit.

2、By studying this lesson, Ss can improve their reading ability. The Ss should receive some moral education. At the same time, we should get the Ss to learn some words and some expressions about Halloween.二 Teaching aims and demands.Knowledge objects: a.) To get the students to understand the article

3、wellb.) Help the Ss remember the new words and phrases. Ability objects:a). To develop the ability to infer the general meaning from title and context.b) To improve the students ability to skim for overall meaning and scan for details Moral objects:a) Arouse their interest in learning English.b) Ena

4、ble the Ss the love our traditional festivals.4.Teaching important points: To understand the passage. To enable the Ss to master the new words and the phrases.To develop the ability to infer the general meaning from title and context.5.Teaching difficult points.a) To talk about how to celebrate Hall

5、oween.b) To reinforce Ss ability to skim text for overall meaning and scan for detail6. Teaching aids In this lesson, the multi-media will be used to make the class lively and improve my teaching result.二 .Teaching and study methodsin this lesson, Ill mainly use Audio-video method, the Communicative

6、 Method and Task-based Method. That is to say, Ill let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the text. Ill give the Ss some tasks and arrange some activities三Teaching proceduresIll finish this lesson in seven steps. Step1. pre-viewingFirst,I will giveStep2. Look and discussIn

7、this step, Ill show the students some picures of many kinds of birds. Let the Ss ask and answer with the learned expressions. Then Ill present the map of Zha Long nature reserve and the pictures of red crowned cranes. Some of the new words in the passage will be presented. This step is used to revie

8、w the learned knowledge and present new words. Its also important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss. Step3. Fast and further reading.After presenting the new words, Ill present the article. First Ill show the Ss two questions and let them read the article and find the answers

9、quickly.Then Ill present the Ss some more questions and get the Ss to read the text further to find the details. For the rest of the new words, Ill train the Ss to infer according to the context or the structrure of the words. This step is the most important. Its used to train the students ability t

10、o skim text for overall meaning and scan for details. In this step, the rest of the new words should be taught.Step4. Read and match.Ill show the Ss the next slide. On it there are paragraph orders on the right and the main ideas on the left. Ill ask the Ss to read the article again and match the pa

11、ragraphs and the main ideas. In this step, Ill train the students to summarize the main idea of each paragraph. Step5. Listen and fill.Im going to get the Ss to listen to recording in this step. Remind them to pay attention to the pronunciation of the new words. Then Ill show an exercise and let the

12、m fill in the blanks.In this step, I want to train the students prounounce and spell the new words correctly.Step 6. Retell the text.In the seventh step, Ill give some hints in each paragraph and let the Ss prepare for a while. Then ask some students to retell the paraghrphs one by one. My design pu

13、rpose is to check the production. Step7. Homework.I think revision is so important that Ss should speak English as much as they can in class or after class. First of all,Id like to talk about my understanding about this lesson.We have learned Star sings in Unit 1 and Colours and moods in Unit 2.We have also learned how to write a formal recommendation letter and how to write a report on the moods of people in last two units.Today we a

16、re going to learn two letters to a famous youth worker about Millies and Simons problems.So this unit links with a special meaning of Unit 1 and Unit 2.This period is the first lesson of Reading.The main idea of the topic is how to express their problems and ask for advice.We are going to learn the

17、ways to deal with problems and stress in following lessons.So this period is very important in this unit.Part 2 Teaching aims1Aims of the knowledge:(1)To know the spelling of some words and usage of some phrases.(2)To learn something about Millies and Simons problems.(3)To grasp the main idea of Rea

18、ding and use the information to talk to others about ones problems and how to deal with them.2Aims of the ablilities:(1)To improve the ability of getting information by reading.(2)To improve the ability of retelling the story.3Aims of the emotion:(1)To understand how to write about problems and to e

20、dvicePart 5 Teaching methodsIn this topic,I will use five-step Teaching Method and Task-based language Teaching.I design some tasks to help the students learn.I think if I want to improve the students oral English,I should give them enough chances to practice and I will use pair work,group work to l
