The topic is “What would you like for? Id like ” By studying this lesson , Ss are enable to speak the new words and sentence about food , therefore they can talk about some basic food topics with foreigners.1.2.2 The analysis of learning conditionMy students are from Grade 5 of primary school. Because they have learned English for 2 years, they have already mastered some basic English skills. And the class activities are easy to be carried out. 1.3 Language focuses and anticipated difficulty1.3.1 Language focuses Ss can listen ,speak, read, write the new words.. Ss can improve their abilities to memorize words.. Ss are enable to talk about food freely. 1.3.2 Anticipated difficulty1.3.2 .1 Ss may feel difficult to remember the new words: mutton, eggplant, tomato, green beans 1.3.2 2. Ss may have some difficulties in pronunciation. 1.3.2 3. Ss may not be active enough to finish tasks.1.4 Learning skill 1.4.1 Students can spell and speak the new words correctly.1.4.2 Students can ask and answer basic food questions. 1.4.3 Students can make dialogues on this topic.1.5 Language knowledge1.5.1 Grasp important words,such as cabbage, green beans, eggplant, mutton, pork, grape , fish, tofu.1.5.2 Students know the sentence structures when they ask peoples food choices,such as what would you like for? Id like1.6 Affects 1.6.1 Arouse their interest to talk about food in English. 1.6.2 Students develop the cooperative spirit during group activities.1.7 Cultural awarenessStudents will be able to learn how to speak different food in English, therefore, they know how to talk about delicious food with foreigners.1.8 Teaching strategy1.8.1 Cognitive strategy: Students acquire new knowledge by using vivid pictures and designed dialogue , whats more, they are supposed to apply what they have learned to real life. 1.8.2 Communicative strategy: Students speaking ability and communicative ability can be improved through dialogue practice.1.9 Teaching methods Teaching methods How to useThree-stage modelPre-speaking, While-speaking. T: Ill have a picnic tomorrow. Do you want to come?Ss: Yes.T: What would you like for tomorrows picnic? (Show them the picture of tomato) Do you want to take this? Whats name of it?Ss: Tomato.T: Good. You have good memory. (Write “tomato” on the blackbnoard) Please read after me. Tomato, tomato, tomato.Ss: Tomato, tomato, tomato.T: Great. Step 2 Presentation (20minutes)T: (Hold the picture of tofu) Boys and girls, do you like this ?Ss: Yes.T: Do you know the name of this food?Ss: T: Its name is tofu. (Write “tofu” on the blackboard) Read after me. Tofu, tofu, tofu.Ss: Tofu, tofu, tofu. T: What would you like for picnic? (Point the picture) Ss: Tofu.T: Good job. ( Introduce other words in the same way.)T: Now, lets play a game. When I say the word, you point the right picture. Ok?Ss: Ok.T:(Ask one student) Eggplant. S1: (Point to the picture of eggplant)T: Pork.S1: (Point to the picture of pork)Practise other words in the same way.T: Now, turn to page 26. Lets chant together.T:Big hands. Step 3 Consolidation (10minutes)T: Now, there is an interesting game for us. Do you want to try?Ss: Yes.T: (Ask one student) You say, what would you like for picnic? I show the picture of food and say Id like some OK? Now, lets begin.S1: What would you like for picnic?T: ( Show the picture of tofu) Id like some tofu.S1: What would you like for picnic?T: .(Practise other food words and the new sentence in the same way)T: Work in pairs and act the dialogue out like us. (Other students make dialogues like this )Step 4 Summary(2 minutes)T: Today we learn so many new words and a new sentence. The homework is to write new words and sentence in 3 times. I will check in next class.
