( in front of, behind, next to, between, on the right of, on the left of)过程与方法1. with enough vocabulary support and practice, the students can talk about the surroundings with “there be”2. group word and individual work combine together.情感、态度与价值观by talking about schools and neighborhood, students show love for their school and neighborhood.教学过程教学过程教学环节教师活动学生活动活动目的1. revisiontell students what a word map is, and how to create a word map.its students create a word map of school in groups, and then write their answers on the blackboard to make the word map together.to review the vocabulary of school. to help students learn about the way to accumulate vocabularies.2. words gamevocabulary game called “ you describe, i guess”.give instructions.its a group competition. contestants guess the words according to the explanations from their group.to go over the vocabulary theyve learned in the first two units, and to make preparation for the following activities.3. readingpresent the cards and pictures to the studentsfirst, match the cards with the pictures. then, students read the words in the cards and write down the questions they want to ask. carry out “ask and answer” activity between two groups.to find specific information through reading.4. language practicepresent a picture for students to describe.show them an example how to do it.students describe the picture with different prepositions, others should pay attention if they are right or not.to practice the usage of prep.5. listening present a picture which has some differences from the listening material.students listen and find the differences.to get the students to be sensitive with prep and listening material.6. strange worldpresent a picture of a strange world.ask students to talk about it with “there be”students find as many strange parts as possible.talk about it with “the
