的战争小说之一，该小说赤裸裸地揭示了战争的荒诞不堪和战争时期 人际关系极度异化的困境，荒诞和异化因而成为该小说最集中表现的 主题。“荒诞“ 和“异化”是萨特存在主义哲学中的两个核心概念。 据此，本文试图运用萨特的存在主义哲学理论对裸者与死者中的 主题进行探析。 全文共包括四章：第一章主要概述萨特存在主义哲学中的两个核 心概念，即“荒诞“ 和“异化“ ，和萨特存在主义哲学对梅勒创作的 影响。第二章着重探究裸者与死者中战争的荒诞这一主题，认为 该主题主要体现在荒诞的安岛征服、荒诞的军队制度以及非理性的极 权主义这三个方面，并指出这种荒诞的生存环境是导致人际关系异化 的一个重要原因。第三章侧重探讨裸者与死者中所体现出的另一 主题，即人际关系的异化。本文作者认为，该小说中人际关系的异化 主要表现在三个方面，即官兵关系的异化，士兵与士兵关系的异化和 男女( 夫妻) 关系的异化。极度异化的人际关系无论从身体上还是精 神上都给裸者与死者中的大部分士兵和女人带来了极大的伤害。 这种极度异化的人际关系又使得小说中的人物更加感受到了战争和 他们所生活的这个世界的荒诞。小说中尽管充斥着战争的荒诞与人际 关系的异化，但是诚如梅勒本人所言，裸者与死者还是让读者看 到了一丝希望。最后一章根据小说中人物的命运，并联系萨特的存在
