大学英语2自学指导书一、课程编码及适用专业课程编码:310111213总学时:40面授学时:10自学学时:148适用专业:非英语专业函授本科二、 课程性质大学英语2是为山东理工大学非英语专业本科函授生开设的一门必修公共基础课 三、 教学目标帮助学生学好、练好语音、词汇和语法的基本功,着重培养和发展学生的阅读理解能力,使学生具有阅读和翻译有关业务英语资料的能力,兼顾听、说、译和写的能力,使他们在今后的工作和社会交往中基本能用英语较好地进行信息交流,同时增强学生的自主学习能力,提高整体文化素养,以适用社会发展和国际交流的需要。 四、 课程内容1. 以英语语言知识与应用技能、学习策略为主要内容, 以语篇阅读为主的课堂教学,以外语教学与研究出版社新编大学英语2为教材,采用以学生为中心,融知识教学与培养学生应用能力为一体,进行语言知识教学。在广泛阅读的基础上,扩大学生的词汇、句法及篇章等方面的语言知识;提高学生的阅读和写作等书面能力。2.建立以文字,录音、多媒体课件、电子教案、网络课件和资源库组成的立体化教材支撑系统,为网络教育学习者提供全方位的语言支持与服务,创造出英语学习中自主、互动、愉悦的学习体验。3. 提供课程视频辅导录像下载,彻底解决学员学习时间、地点受工作、生活等诸多因素影响较大的问题。对学生进行有关课程内容重点、难点的针对性辅导, 为了帮助学生打下良好的发音基础,课件录制了由外教朗读的课文录音,学生可根据需要,选听某个句子、某个段落或整个课文的标准发音。4. 每一单元都配有自测题,题型多样。授课教师根据每单元的学习内容及重、难点,编写了配套的单元测试题。5. 我们还收集了各种媒体资源所提供的学习内容、辅助教材等并加以综合利用,根据学生的需要增加一些普遍认为需要的内容,以文字教材为线索,制成PPT或电子教案以供学生学习和浏览,这样做生动、方便、效率高。五、 课程安排 Unit 1:Loveunit 2: Communication Problemunit 3: Born to Win unit6: Food unit7: Culture unit 8 Money unit 9 ShoppingBefore reading : Background and cultural informationGlobal reading : General understanding of the text ;text structure ;questions about the understanding of the text ;writing skillsDetailed reading: Difficult sentences, words and phrases After reading: Useful expressions; exercises and further development六、 课程建议由于函授学生的英语基础差,学习时间不能保证,只能利用工作之余参加面授, 因此我们要求学生必须根据自己的情况制定一个学习计划。好的学习习惯是保证学习达到预期效果的前提,尤其是对没有语言环境的外语学习来说,合理的学习计划更显重要。因此学员应通过网络查看教师给出的该单元所应掌握的重、难点内容及其讲解。七、本课程的学习方法1 主动学习 学习可以分为主动和被动两种学习方式。主动学习是指学生主动地思考所学知识、主动地发现自己尚未理解的问题、主动地寻求解答问题,以及主动地预习和复习课堂讲授内容。被动学习是指学生被动地接受知识,被动地等待教师来发现自己的问题,被动地等待答案,等等。我们相信主动学习的同学对所学内容会有比较好的理解,也更有可能获得好成绩。 2 预习和复习 课前浏览一遍下一节课将要讲到的内容和重要的概念是一个很好的学习习惯,因为这样可以帮助你了解课堂教学的重点,使你更加关注于重点问题或自己不太理解的问题,提高课堂学习效率。 我们建议学生在课后的当天复习课堂内容。因为拖延复习可能导致遗忘某些关键内容,造成学生对一些课堂知识难以理解。在复习中,学生应当依据课堂笔记,同时借助教材和参考书,把所学知识贯穿起来,并检验自己是否能独立应用所学原理解决问题。我们建议,每位同学每天至少要保证每天一、两个小时的时间用于化学学习。 3 课堂注意听讲 课堂学习是学好本门课的关键。由于教师的教学内容与教材不完全相同,因此课堂学习是获取一些重要知识的关键途径。在课堂上,同学们应当积极思考,认真作笔记。课堂笔记不应当是事无巨细地记录教师的每一句话,而应当是记下老师讲课的重点和教材上没有的内容。课堂笔记是复习考试时的重要参考,因此一份条理清晰、简明扼要的笔记对于同学们最后获得好成绩非常重要。在课堂上,学生可以随时就授课内容提出问题,并得到老师的解答。我们相信,经常提问的同学对课堂内容会有比较好的理解,而且这些同学往往也是课堂上注意力最集中的一些同学。 4 课后练习 我们经常讲“不到水里就学不会游泳”,因此习题演练对于掌握所学知识非常重要。课后作业就是帮助学生们掌握关键学习内容的重要手段。每当同学们发现自己不会做某个习题时,就表明对某些基本概念还未完全领会。这时就应当复习相应内容,重新理解所学内容。当学生在某一道习题上“卡壳”时,应当立即向其他同学或老师寻求帮助。 5 学习小组 根据以往的经验,我们建议同学们可以自由组成三至六人的学习小组。在小组内讨论学习上遇到的问题,交换学习经验。由于每个人的知识背景不同、看问题的出发点不同,因此小组学习有助于同学们开阔思路,练习与他人沟通的有效方法。每个小组成员都可以从中受益。 6 融会贯通 认知心理学认为,增强理解能力和记忆力的最有效办法是在所学知识之间建立联系。因此,学生在学习中应当有意识地打通所学知识之间的联系,学会用自己以前的知识来解释新学到的知识。这种方法也是检验自己是否真正理解课堂内容的一个有效途径。如果同学在理解过程中遇到困难,可以向老师寻求帮助。 7 有效地管理个人时间 每个人的时间都是相同的,但是学习效率却因人而异。所以能否有效地管理时间、提高学习效率是能否获得大学阶段成功的关键。而有效利用时间的关键是在学习中保持注意力(而不是拖长学习的时间)。我们希望每一位同学都能在学习中掌握有效的学习方法。 8 认真准备考试 考试的内容就是老师的授课内容。当然,这不是说记住老师的每一句话就可以得满分。我们强调学生对所学原理和概念的理解,以及学生是否会应用这些概念来解决实际问题。在平时和考试复习期间,同学们应当认真归纳总结所学过的概念、公式和定理,应当勤做练习来检查自己是否已经真正理解所学内容。我们反对学生在考前“临阵磨枪”的做法,因为这样很难达到真正理解,很容易在考试中失败。八、自学内容与指导Unit 1 Love (一)自学内容1. 看课件,视频 before reading, global reading ,detailed reading ,after reading 2.
