Book 6 Module 6 War and Peace(The first period.)The D-Day LandingsBook 6 Module 6 War and Peace一、 Materials analysis教材分析:此模块是高二第一本选修6新授课的最后一个模块,关于“战争与和平”这一主题的。在语言项目上,主要涉及了含有If.的从句类型的虚拟语气(the Subjunctive Mood)。在高中英语新课标中,虚拟语气是带星号的,“7级要求理解,8接要求掌握”。同时在选修9 Module 4中同样也涉及到了虚拟语气,所以现在的教学起着乘上启下的作用,因此把Grammar部分的习题3和WB练习题1、2也进行整合在一起,更有助于知识的巩固提高。二、Analysis of the learners 学生分析 : 首先说学生对“War and Peace”这样的话题并不陌生,其次在前一模块Module 5 Cloning中也已经体验到了虚拟语气主要是wish 这一单词的用法,可以说为本模块的教学奠定了一定的基础。而且学生应对Introduction 和Vocabulary and reading 部分提前预习过了。三、Teaching and learning methods教法与学法: 体验、参与、合作、“概念图”式方法(The method of Concept maps)四、Teaching Goal教学目标:1. Target language 知识目标A. To master some important words invade, drown, survivor, occupyetc. B. Enable make the sentences clearlyIf they had reached the beach, they would probably have been killed.2. Ability Goal 能力目标A. Enable the students Have a deep understanding of the World War II and the D-Day Landings.B. Reading Strategy Learning to learn, to catch the Reading Skills(How to catch the main idea).3. Emotional target 情感目标To let them know the suffering which wars bring to our human being ,and fight against the WAR!五、Teaching Important Point:教学重点 Improve the students reading comprehension ability.Teaching Difficult Point: 教学难点 How to make a short speech about War.六、The predetermination教学预想 The Ss can master“the Subjunctive Mood”,and some can say something about the PEACE in class.七、Teaching procedures and ways:教学过程Step I. Brain-Strom 1. Show them some of the pictures about battle. 2. Talk about something about World War II. And learn the quotations.3.Then show a group of pictures. Ask them to give some words about a battle.Step II. Reading Strategy1. Ask the student to choose the best answers for each Passage.2. “Why do you choose them like this?”, Tell the student the TIPS when they are reading.Step III. Reading1. Lead-in. See a short movie, which is about D-Day Landings.2. Read Passage 1 and 2, finish off the questions on page 73,Exercise 5,6.3. Read the Passage 3, then fill in the blanks.Step IV.
