文档简介

One afternoon she set out from the coast in a small boat and was caught in a storm. Towards evening, the boat struck a rock and the girl jumped into the sea. Then she swam to the shore after spending the whole night in the water. During that time she covered a distance of eight miles. Early next morning, she saw a light ahead. She knew she was near the shore because the light was high up on the cliffs. On arriving at the shore, the girl struggled up the cliff towards the light she had seen. That was all she remembered. When she woke up a day later, she found herself in hospital.Lesson34 Quick work 破案“神速”Ted Robinson has been worried all the week. Last Tuesday he received a letter from the local police. In the letter he was asked to call at the station. Ted wondered why he was wanted by the police, but he went to the station yesterday and now he is not worried any more. At the station, he was told by a smiling policeman that his bicycle had been found. Five days ago, the policeman told him, the bicycle was picked up in a small village four hundred miles away. It is now being sent to his home by train. Ted was most surprised when he heard the news. He was amused too, because he never expected the bicycle to be found. It was stolen twenty years ago when Ted was a boy of fifteen !Lesson35 Stop thief! 捉贼!Rov Trenton used to drive a taxi. A short while ago, however, he became a bus-driver and he was not regretted it. He is finding his new work far more exciting. When he was driving along Catford Street recently, he saw two thieves rush out of a shop and run towards a waiting car. One of them was carrying a bag full of money. Roy acted quickly and drove the bus straight at the thieves. The one with the money got such a fright that he dropped the bag. As the thieves were trying to get away in their car, Roy drove his bus into the back of it. While the battered car was moving away, Roy stopped his bus and telephoned the police. The thieves car was badly damaged and easy to recognize. Shortly afterwards, the police stopped the car and both men were arrested. Lesson36 Across the Channel 横渡海峡Erna Hart is going to swim across the English Channel tomorrow. She is going to set out from the French coast at five oclock in the morning. Erna is only fourteen years old and she hopes lo set up a new world record. She is a strong swimmer and many people feel that she is sure to succeed. Ernas father will set out with her in a small boat. Mr Hart has trained his daughter for years. Tomorrow he will be watching her anxiously as she swims the long distance to England. Erna intends to take short rests every two hours. She will have something to drink but she will not eat any solid food. Most of Ernas school friends will be waiting for her on the English coast. Among them will be Ernas mother, who swam the Channel herself when she was a girl.Lesson37 The Olympic Games 奥林匹克运动会The Olympic Games will be held in our country in four years time. As a great many people will be visiting the country, the government will be building new hotels, an immense stadium, and a fine new swimming pool. They will also be building new roads and a special railway-line. The Games will be held just outside the capital and the whole area will be called Olympic City. Workers will have completed the new roads by the end of this year. By the end of next year, they will have finished work on the new stadium. The fine modern buildings have been designed by Kurt Gunter. Everybody will be watching anxiously as the new buildings go up. We are all very excited and are looking forward to the Olympic Games because they have never been held before in this country.Lesson38 Everything except the weather 惟独没有考虑到天气My old friend, Harrison, had lived in the Mediterranean for many years before he returned to England. He had often dreamed of retiring in England and had planned to settle down in the country. He had no sooner returned than he bought a fine house and went to live there. Almost immediately he began to complain about the weather, for even though it was still summer, it rained continually and it was often bitterly cold. After so many years of sunshine, Harrison got a shock. He acted as if he had never lived in England before. In the end, it was more than he could bear. He had hardly had time to settle down when he sold the house and left the country. The dream he had had for so many years ended there. Harrison had thought of everything except the weather.Lesson39 Am I all right? 我是否痊愈?While John Gilbert was in hospital, he asked his doctor to tell him whether his operation had been successful, but the doctor refused to do so. The following day, the patient asked for a bedside telephone. When he was alone, he telephoned the hospital exchange and asked for Doctor Millington. When the doctor answered the phone, Mr Gilbert said he was inquiring about a certain patient, a Mr John Gilbert. He asked if Mr Gilberts operation had been successful and the doctor told him that it had been. He then asked when Mr Gilbert would be allowed to go home and the doctor told him that he would have to stay in hospital for another two weeks. Then Dr Millington asked the caller if he was a relative of the patient. No, the patient answered, I am Mr John Gilbert. Lesson40 Food and talk 进餐与交谈Last week at a dinner-party, the hostess asked me to sit next to Mrs Rumbold. Mrs Rumbold was a large, unsmiling lady in a tight black dress. She did not even look up when I took my seat beside her. Her eyes were fixed on her plate and in a short time, she was busy eating. I tried to make conversation. A new play is coming to The Globe soon, I said. Will you be seeing it ? No, she answered. Will you be spending your holidays abroad this year ? I asked. No, she answered. Will you be staying in England? I asked. No, she answered. In despair, I asked her whether she was enjoying her dinner. Young man, she answered, if you ate more and talked less, we would both enjoy our dinner ! lesson41 Do you call that a hat? 你把那个叫帽子吗?Do you call that a hat ? I said to my wife. You neednt be so rude about it, my wife answered as she looked at herself in the mirror. I sat down on one of those modern chairs with holes in it and waited. We had been in the hat shop for half an hour and my wife was still in front of the mirror. We mustnt buy things we dont need, I remarked suddenly. I regretted saying it almost at once. You neednt have said that, my wife answered. I need not remind you of that terrible tie you bought yesterday. I find it beautiful, I said. A man can never have too into the cave hoping to find buried treasure. The leader of the party was examining the soil near the entrance to the cave when the machine showed that there was gold under the ground. Very excited, the party dug a hole two feet deep. They finally found a small gold coin which was almost worthless. The party then searched the whole cave thoroughly but did not find anything except an empty tin trunk. In spite of this, many people are confident that The Revealer may reveal something of value fairly soon.Lesson56 Faster than sound! 比声音还快!Once a year a race is held for old cars. A lot of cars entered for this race last year and there was a great deal of excitement just before it began. One of the most handsome cars was a Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. The most unusual car was a Benz which had only three wheels. Built in 1885, it was the oldest car taking part. After a great many loud explosions, the race began. Many of the cars broke down on the course and some drivers spent more time under their cars than in them ! A few cars, however, completed the race. The winning car reached a speed of forty miles an hour-much faster than any of its rivals. It sped downhill at the end of the race and its driver had a lot of trouble trying to stop it. The race gave everyone a great deal of pleasure. It was very different from modern car races but no less exciting. Lesson57 Can I help you, madam? 你要买什么,夫人?A woman in blue jeans stood at the window of an expensive shop. Though she hesitated for a moment, she finally went in and asked to see a dress that was in the window. The assistant who served her did not like the way she was dressed. Glancing at her scornfully, he told her that the dress was sold. The woman walked out of the shop angrily and decided to punish the assistant next day. She returned to the shop the following morning dressed in a fur coat, with a handbag in one hand and a long umbrella in the other. After seeking out the rude assistant she asked for the same dress. Not realizing who she was, the assistant was eager to serve her this time with great difficulty, he climbed into the shop window to get the dress. As soon as she saw it, the woman said s many ties. And a woman cant have too many hats, she answered.Ten minutes later we walked out of the shop together. My wife was wearing a hat that looked like a lighthouse !Lesson42 Not very musical 并非很懂音乐As we had had a long walk through one of the markets of Old Delhi, we stopped at a square to have a rest. After a time, we noticed a snake-charmer with two large baskets at the other side of the square, so we went to have a look at him. As soon as he saw us, he picked up a long pipe which was covered with coins and opened one of the baskets. When he began to play a tune, we had our first glimpse of the snake. It rose out of the basket and began to follow the movements of the pipe. We were very much surprised when the snake charmer suddenly began to play jazz tunes and modern pop songs. The snake, however, continued to dance slowly. It obviously could not tell the difference between Indian music and jazz!Lesson43 Over the South Pole 飞越南极In 1929, three years after his flight over the North Pole, the American explorer, R. E. Byrd, successfully flew over the South Pole for the first time. Though, at first, Byrd and his men were able to take a great many photographs of the mountains that lay below, they soon ran into serious trouble. At one point, it seemed certain that their plane would crash. It could only get over the mountains if it rose to 10,000 feet. Byrd at once ordered his men to throw out two heavy food sacks. The plane was then able to rise and it cleared the mountains by 400 feet. Byrd now knew that he would be able to reach the South Pole which was 300 miles away, for there were no more mountains in sight. The aircraft was able to fly over the endless white plains without difficulty. Lesson44 Through the forest 穿过森林Mrs Anne Sterling did not think of the risk she was taking when she ran through a forest after two men. They had rushed up to her while she was having a picnic at the edge of a forest with her children and tried to steal her handbag. In the struggle, the strap broke and, with the bag in their possession, both men started running through the trees. Mrs Sterling got so angry that she ran after them. She was soon out of breath, but she continued to run. When she caught up with them, she saw that they had sat down and were going through the contents of the bag, so she ran straight at them. The men got such a fright that they dropped the bag and ran away. The strap needs mending, said Mrs Sterling later, but they did not steal anything.Lesson45 A clear conscience 问心无愧The whole village soon learnt that a large sum of money had been lost. Sam Benton, the local butcher, had lost his wallet while taking his savings to the post-office. Sam was sure that the wallet must have been found by one of the villagers, but it was not returned to him. Three months passed, and then one morning, Sam found his wallet outside his front door. It had been wrapped up in newspaper and it contained half the money he had lost, together with a note which said: A thief, yes, but only 5o per cent a thief! Two months later, some more money was sent to Sam with another note: Only 25 per cent a thief now! In time, all Sams money was paid back in this way. The last note said: I am 100 per cent honest now!lesson46 Expensive and uncomfortable 既昂贵又受罪When a plane from London arrived at Sydney airport, workers began to unload a number of wooden boxes which contained clothing. No one could account for the fact that one of the boxes was extremely heavy. It suddenly occurred to one of the workers to open up the box. He was astonished at what he found. A man was lying in the box on top of a pile of woollen goods. He was so surprised at being discovered that he did not even try to run away. After he was arrested, the man admitted hiding in the box before the plane left London. He had had a long and uncomfortable trip, for he had been confined to the wooden box for over ten hours. The man was ordered to pay &345 for the cost of the trip. The normal price of a ticket is &230 !Lesson47 A thirsty ghost 嗜酒的鬼魂A public house which was recently bought by Mr Ian Thompson is up for sale. Mr Thompson is going to sell it because it is haunted. He told me that he could not go to sleep one night because he heard a strange noise coming from the bar. The next morning, he found that the doors had been blocked by chairs and the furniture had been moved. Though Mr Thompson had turned the lights off before he went to bed, they were on in the morning. He also said that he had found five empty whisky bottles which the ghost must have drunk the night before. When I suggested that some villagers must have come in for a free drink,集团公司2011年薪酬方案为适应现代企业发展的要求,充分发挥薪酬的激励作用,进一步拓展员工职业上升通道,建立一套相对密闭循环科学合理的薪酬体系,根据集团公司现状,特制定本方案一制定原则本方案本着公平竞争激励经济合法的原则制定1公平:是薪酬体系的宗旨,员工只有在认为薪酬系统公平的前提下,才可能产生认同感和高满意度,薪酬的激励作用才可充分体现2竞争:公司想要获得具有真正竞争力的优秀人才,必须要有一套具有吸引力并在行业中具有竞争力的薪酬系统3激励:应通过薪酬体系来激励员工的责任心和工作的积极性4经济:在考虑集团公司承受能力大小利润和合理积累的情况下,合理配置劳动力资源,过高过低都会给公司带来负面影响5合法:方案建立在遵守国家相关政策法律法规和集团公司管理制度基础上二管理机构成立薪酬管理委员会主任:总裁副主任:执行总裁成员:副总裁 监事会主席 工会主席 事业部总经理 运营总监 财务总监 人力资源部经理本方案所指薪酬管理的最高机构为薪酬管理委员会,日常薪酬管理由人力资源部负责三制定依据 本方案制定的依据是根据内外部劳动力市场状况地区及行业差异员工岗位价值(对企业的影响解决问题责任范围监督知识经验沟通环境风险等要素)及员工职业发展生涯等因素(后附集团公司岗位评估办法)四岗位层级划分1集团公司的所有岗位分为两类,一类为技术类;一类为除技术类的管理及其它所有岗位,其中技术岗位分为五个层级(分别为:一层级(A):教授级;二层级(B):高级;三层级(C):中级;四层级(D):助理级;五层级(E):员级);管理及其它所有岗位分为七个层级(分别为:一层级(A):总裁级;二层级(B):总监级;三层级(C):部门经理级;四层级(D):部门副经理级层;五层级(E):部门主管级;六层级(F):专员级;七层级(G):员级); 2每类岗位层级分别为六个级差(A1A2A6)(具体见岗位各层级基本薪酬评估系数表1-2)3按照集团公司岗位价值评估办法,结合岗位说明书,采取自评上级测评薪酬管理委员会三方汇评的办法,确定各岗位评估结果,并将评估结果(分数)排列放入岗位层级表中4本方案中技术类岗位人员指现从事各类技术工作人员且具有技术类资格职称证书(教授级高级中级助理级员级或者从业资格证书)五薪酬组成1薪酬组成:岗位基本工资+岗位绩效工资+职务消费+各类补贴2岗位基本工资职务消费各类补贴按月发放,岗位绩效工资与考核结果挂钩(具体参见绩效考核手册),非生产营销人员的绩效工资按季度考核兑现,生产人员的绩效工资按月考核兑现,副经理以上人员(中级以上技术人员)按季考核年底发放3对于新增设岗位,由薪酬委员会根据岗位价值评估确定薪酬层级及薪酬标准六岗位基本工资1确定薪酬层级系数根据岗位价值的分数计算出所有层级的相对系数 2确定薪酬基本单元值根据薪酬层级系数及集团公司上年度薪酬水平外部薪酬竞争性和内部薪酬的激励性确定层级薪酬基本单元值(K),各个层级的K值不同,分别为有五层七层ABCDEFG,各个层级的K值,为K1K2K63岗位基本工资的确定薪酬层级系数薪酬基本单元值=本岗位薪酬标准(具体系数K值见附表) 七岗位绩效工资1依据公司上年度经济效益来确定每一层级的绩效工资(后附表)2每一层级的绩效工资按考核结果分为杰出优秀称职基本称职不称职五个级别具体内容详见绩效考核手册八职务消费1、 副经理(中级技术)以上人员都可享受职务消费2、 职务消费包括:通讯费交通费差旅费招待费办公费其它费用3、 依据各岗位的性质及业务范围来确定各岗位职务消费九补贴及福利1司龄补贴从员工进入本企业之日起计算,连续工龄每满一年可得司龄工资20元/月2司龄工资实行累进计算,累计10年后不再增加 3为吸引特殊人才加盟公司,集团公司特设立特殊人才津贴4特殊人才津贴分为三档,一档为1000元/月以下,二档为1000-4000元/月,三档为4000元/月以上津贴每月据实发放5员工享受特殊人才津贴必须要经集团公司执行者总裁办公会审批通过6工作地点与家庭所在地不在同一城市的员工享受月伙食补贴150元;各分子公司的伙食补贴可参照集团公司标准由各分子公司自行决定后,报集团公司执行总裁办公会审批通过7女工卫生费为20元/月8需值班的特殊部门按实际考勤(每天1人并规定值班时间)计算,值班工资标准按本人月基本工资计算计算公式:日值班工资=日基本工资/8小时*日值班时间 9年终效益奖金由执行总裁办公会确定10年度累计请假1个月的员工,不享受效益奖金十试用期薪酬1公司新招聘员工试用期一般为三个月,特殊情况下最长可以延伸至六个月2试用期员工的薪酬为该岗位岗位工资标准的百分之八十;不享受公司提供的其它福利3新入职大学生试用期待遇,双学位900元/月;大学本科800元/月;大学专科760元/月十一薪酬调整薪酬调整分为整体调整和个别调整1整体调整:指集团公司根据国家政策和物价水平等宏观因素的变化行业及地区竞争状况集团公司发展战略变化以及公司整体效益情况而进行的调整,包括薪酬水平调整和薪酬结构调整,调整幅度由董事会根据经营状况决定2个别调整:主要指薪酬级别的调整,分为定期调整与不定期调整薪酬级别定期调整:指公司在年底根据年度绩效考核结果对员工岗位工资进行的调整,详细情况参见集团公司绩效考核手册薪酬级别不定期调整:指公司在年中由于职务变动等原因对员工薪酬进行的调整3 员工在相连的两次绩效考核之间的月份发生岗位变动,如在新岗位上工作时间超过两个月,则以新岗位的绩效考核结果作为本考核期的考核结果,否则,以原岗位绩效考核结果作为本考核期考核结果在考核期结束时依据考核结果补发绩效工资余额4各岗位员工薪酬调整由薪酬管理委员会审批,审批通过的调整方案和各项薪酬发放方案由人力资源部执行调整后的薪酬级别,从调整生效日所在月的月初计算十二薪酬的支付1薪酬支付时间计算A执行月薪制的员工,日工资标准统一按30天计算B薪酬支付时间:当月工资为次月10日2下列各款项须直接从薪酬中扣除:A员工工资个人所得税;B应由员工个人缴纳的社会保险费用;C与公司订有协议应从个人工资中扣除的款项;D法律法规规定的以及公司规章制度规定的应从工资中扣除的款项(如罚款);E司法仲裁机构判决裁定中要求代扣的款项3工资计算期间中途聘用人员,当月工资的计算公式如下:4各类假别薪酬支付标准A产假:按本人月基本工资(不含绩效工资)的80%支付B探亲假:工资按正常出勤支付C婚假:工资按正常出勤支付D护理假:(配偶分娩)工资按正常出勤支付E丧假:工资按正常出勤支付F公假:(参加各类考试)工资按正常出勤支付G哺乳假:享受社保部门支付的生育金,单位不再支付工资H工伤假:按劳动鉴定委员会结果执行,公司不再另外支付工资I普通病假:月累计请病假二天内不减发工资(包括基本工资和绩效工资) J企业职工因患病或非因工负伤停止工作治病医疗期间(必须有市级以上医院证明,若有不实,一经查实取消其享受权利),根据本人实际参加工作年限和在本单位工作年限,原则上可给予三个月到二十四个月的医疗期: (a)实际工作年限十年以下的,在本单位工作年限五年以下的为三个月;五年以上的为六个月 (b)实际工作年限十年以上的,在本单位工作年限五年以下的为六个月;五年以上十年以下的为九个月;十年以上十五年以下的为十二个月;十五年以上二十年以下的为十八个月;二十年以上的为二十四个月 (c)企业职工在医疗期内,其病假工资按以下标准执行:(d)医疗期在三个月以下时,工资按当地最低工资标准的100%发放;三个月以上六个月以下工资按当地最低工资标准的90%发放;六个月以上十二个月以下工资按当地最低工资标准的80%发放;十二个月以上二十四个月以下工资按当地最低工资标准的60%发放;K事假:月累计超出二天以上按日减发岗位基本工资针对集团公司中层以上管理人员实行不定时工作制,集团公司中层以上管理人员(包括中层管理人员)如因特殊情况确需请假者,经执行总裁批准,可按正常出勤对待十三员工有下列情形由员工本人向公司人力资源部门提出书面申请,经批准后15天内一次性结清工资(一)依法解除或终止劳动合同时;(二)公司认可的其他事由十四 薪酬保密1、 人力资源部集团财务及股份财务所有经手工资信息的员工及管理人员必须保守薪酬秘密非因工作需要,不得将员工的薪酬信息透漏给任何第三方或公司以外的任何人员薪酬信息的传递必须通过正式渠道 2、 有关薪酬的书面材料(包括各种有关财务凭证)必须加锁管理工作人员在离开办公区域时,不得将相关保密材料堆放在桌面或容易泄露的地方有关薪酬方面的电子文档必须加密存储,密码不得转交给他人3、 员工需查核本人工资情况时,必须由人力资源部薪酬福利专员会同财务部门出纳进行核查4、 各事业部分子公司管理人员的薪酬保密工作按以上办法执行,生产销售人员除外5公司执行国家规定发放的福利补贴的标准应不低于国家规定标准,并随国家政策性调整而相应调整十五本方案自发下之日起执行十六本方案由人力资源部门负责解释附: 集团公司岗位评估办法集团公司各岗位薪酬定位表
