But, others stand in your way. Colonies of both Parasite and Slime will try to stop you, and wandering monsters are always on the prowl for a quick dinner. Only intelligence and quickness will gain you control over all sandwichdom.Mission StatementThe goal of the game is to put players in the role as the leader of a civilization vying for control of an old sandwich. The entire game should wallow the player in the filth that is ever present on food that has been left out for way too long. Every civilization should be made up of disgusting creatures that attack, eat, defecate, and die. Players should be challenged by the opposing civilizations fierce units and devious intelligence. The game should be a humorous, if disgusting, real time strategy.Key Features Two unique microscopic civilizations to play. Each with its own culture and forms of life. Game play will vary greatly from either ferocious Parasites, to the bullying Slime! Discover biological wastes and rotting carcasses to help your civilization expand across the doughy landscape! Create your troops from an array of genetic traits; allowing you to engage in battles with the grossest evolution has to offer! Unique creatures and weapons for each civilization, never before seen in a strategy game! Free coupons for a “Billy Bob Sandwich” with every game package! State of the art 3D engine with interpolated animation and realistic sound! Randomly generated terrain! Multiplayer supports Team and Deathmatch games over Internet or LAN! Makes you not want to eat for weeks on end!PlatformPCWindows 2000450 MHz IBM or compatible processor128 MB RAMDirect3D compatible Video with 16MB RAMDirectX 8MouseKeyboardRecommended:600 MHz IBM or compatible processor256 MB RAMDirect3D compatible Video with 32MB RAMTarget AudienceThough childish and comical, Supper requires an understanding and quickness small children may not match. The game also features mild animated violence. Supper is mostly from the Simulation/ Strategy genre, due to its resource management, strategic combat, and its realistic 3D nature. But, it also contains many instances of fantasy and humor normally reserved to adventure and role-playing games. Despite this, it is recommended that the game be marketed primarily to the strategy gaming audience, as strategy is its main genre. We anticipate a “T for Teen” rating.StoryIt is the tastiest and most zesty sandwich a man could ever eat. It is called “Billy Bobs Sandwich”, varying from hot tingling sensational taste to sweet luscious buttery flavor. With its “super secret sauce”, the sandwiches became an overnight success, and the other burger companies dropped out of the business like flies. “Billy Bobs Sandwich” soon became the biggest food company in the world. But success didnt come without trouble. As with most food chains, not all of the minimum wage restaurant workers kept up with Billy Bobs high standards of cleanliness. The result was the evolution of before-unseen species of microscopic organisms from the vats of super secret sauce. As luck would have it, a rather plump figure, with a knack for falling asleep while eating his favorite sandwich in front of the television, bought a “Mega Billy Bob” infested with super strains of these new organisms. The mans long nap in front of the tube changed his sandwich from supper into a battleground of evolution. Two main species evolved from the sandwich. A race of goo known as the Slime, and a group of mutated Parasites that feast upon the dead. The Slime might have chosen to live peacefully off the bounty of dung dropped by the numerous sandwich cows that have appeared, had the cows not become the Parasites main source of sustenance. With food becoming scarce, battle is now frequent between the races, and even between the separate colonies of each race. Chaos reigns on one of Billy Bobs greatest creations.Game MechanicsCore GameplaySupper contains three game modes: single player death match, multiplayer death match, and multiplayer team match. Single player and multi-player death match are almost exactly the same, with the exception that in multiplayer one or more of the opposing colonies can be controlled by a human opponent. In multiplayer team match the player has allied with other colonies in hopes of their combined force will triumph. Each player still only controls their colonys units, but besides that work exactly the same as a single colony in death match with regards to doing damage and victory conditions. At a basic level, Supper is about selecting units or groups of units and giving them orders. Orders like Move, Attack and Create will be chosen from a menu interface at the bottom of the screen that will change depending on the users selections. The player will attempt to outwit the AI opponents and eliminate them from the sandwich. Both races in Supper have a their own way of collecting food for their units, which need to eat constantly. This puts the player in a position where offense is of more benefit than defense, since supplies of food will run low if the player stays dormant for too long. This gives the game a much faster pace.If a colony no longer has any units under its control, than that civilization has lost. The last colony, or team in team match, left on the sandwich will win the game. After the game is over for the player, win or lose, a list of all the colonys stats will appear, showing how well each did. This adds a bonus value to the game of trying to beat previous high scores.Game FlowAt the beginning of a new game, the player will start with just one creature. This creature will have the ability to start the reproduction cycle for the race. For Slime, that means it will start with a large Slime that is able to split into many weaker, smaller slime. Slime grows larger and stronger by eating. The Parasites start out with the Mother of Mothers. This grotesque, walking sack of a creature will birth the new creatures for the Parasites. From this point the players can, it they survive, create new units and gather resources. The starting units of each race are unique, and cannot be reproduced. Each society has its own unique resources and its own way of storing them. The recourses are actually food, if you can call it that. Slime eats the biological waste of other creatures. When they eat they grow bigger and stronger. Eating is the only way for the Slime to grow and reproduce. The Parasites eat the dead carcasses of the fallen. They can eat the decaying right off the ground, or little slave Parasites with huge sacks on their back can carry food around with them. The offensive units of the Parasites eat a large amount of food.Early on the player will encounter monsters wandering mindlessly through the landscape. These monsters have no affiliation with any civilization but may still attack. These monsters can be used as a food source by both the Slime and the Parasites. Soon, the player will discover units from other civilizations. The units will almost always be much more coordinated than the wandering monsters.By late game, only the strongest of the players enemies will have survived. But these enemies will be much stronger and larger than the ones that have been vanquished. The player must manage resources and units carefully in order to win the game. The game ends when the players forces perish, or take complete control of the sandwich.Input ImplementationSupper will use only the mouse and the keyboard. Almost all of the core gameplay in Supper is done using the mouse. It will be used for all actions that the player can do. The keyboard is used only for chat in multi-player and giving a name to their colony.Game Play StatsAll creatures in Supper have stats that determine their speed and combat effectiveness. These stats may change throughout the game through the actions of other creatures. Strength: Determines how much damage the creatures attacks will do. Defense: Determines the creatures ability to deflect attacks. This will be temporarily lowered each time the creature is hit, so that if a creature is hit multiple times in quick succession, it will take more damage than if the attacks were spaced out. Speed: Used to calculate how far a creature can go in a set amount of time. Hit Points: Amount of damage the creature can take before it dies. Food: Amount of food the unit is carrying or needs. If the unit needs food, its other stats will be lowered. Food Decrement: The amount of food the unit eats at a time. Poop Amount: The amount of poop the unit poops when it, you know, poops. Build Speed: The speed at which the unit is created: The higher it is, the faster the unit is created. Cost: The amount of food the creator unit looses when it creates the unit. Also, all attacks also have certain properties. As of right now, all creatures only have one attack. Each attack has the following properties. Delay: Time needed between attacks. Length: Time taken to complete the attack. Prep: Time needed to get the animation to the correct point for the attack to appear at the right time. Maximum Range: Greatest distance at which a target will be affected. Minimum Range: This is mostly used for projectile attacks. The target must be at least this far away to be attacked. For most melee attacks, this value will be zero. Radius: Used to determine the amount of creatures affected by the attack. Velocity: How fast the attack moves. The attack may also have special properties that affect the stats of the hit unit. Each of these attacks has a value for the percentage of the stat that is removed, and a value indicating how many milliseconds until the creature recovers from the special attack. The stats that can be affected are: Strength Weakens the enemy and their attacks. Defense Lowers the enemys resistance to physical damage. Speed Reduces how fast a unit can go. Attack Speed Increase the delay on the units attack. When a creature attacks, its strength is used to determine the amount of damage it can do. A random bias will also be applied to an attack to make it slightly stronger or weaker. This is done so that even if an encounter is similar to a previous one, the outcome wont be exactly the same. If collision is detected between the attack and an opposing creature, that creatures hit function is called. The creatures Defense will go through a random biasing similar to what Strength is put through during attacks. The resulting defense will then be subtracted from the attack and that result will be subtracted from the creatures Hit Points. If the creature has zero or less hit points, it dies.Player Controllable UnitsThe main interaction players have in the game is performed through the units. Units are selected on the main game screen, and are given orders by right clicking on the desired location. The orders, attack, eat and move, will automatically execute depending on what was clicked on. Creatures that can create units will also have Create as an option in the menu interface.SlimeThe Slime are a species of mucus-like beings that have evolved out of the Super Secret Sauce of the sandwich. They grow by eating the biological wastes of other beings, and reproduce asexually. When a Slime is large enough, it can split into two Slime. These Slime do not have to be of the same unit type as the original, as the Slimes communal mind allows all new beings to specialize in any area. Similarly, when two Slimes combine into a new, larger Slime, the new Slime can be of any type available to the civilization.Hammer SlimeThe Hammer Slime is the unit type of the first Slime a civilization starts with. A Hammer Slime solidifies part of its body into a hard, blunt object to combat its foes. It is the strongest of all the Slime units and can strike and a fairly decent rate. It is not as fast as many of the other units, but does have a high defensive value.StrengthDefenseSpeedHit PointsFoodFood DecrementPoop AmountBuild Speed231921200n/an/an/a160CostAttack DelayAttack LengthAttack PrepAttack Min RangeAttack Max RangeAttack RadiusAttack Velocity024034040051.075Strength AmountStrength TimeDefense AmountDefense TimeSpeed AmountSpeed TimeAttack Speed AmountAttack Speed Time00000000Slime WhipperThe Slime Whipper takes advantage of mucuss tendency to form into long, sticky strings. It uses part of itself as a whip with which to slash opponents multiple times from a distancethe larger the slime, the greater the range. However, it takes time for the Slime to gather itself together after an attack, so it cannot attack as quickly as a Hammer Slime. The Whipper is also weaker, slower, and has a worse defense than the Hammer Slime.StrengthDefenseSpeedHit PointsFoodFood DecrementPoop AmountBuild Speed161815200n/an/an/a120CostAttack DelayAttack LengthAttack PrepAttack Min RangeAttack Max RangeAttack RadiusAttack Velocity010012045081.090Strength AmountStrength TimeDefense AmountDefense TimeSpeed AmountSpeed TimeAttack Speed AmountAttack Speed Time008%1000000Slime Spitter A Slime Spitter actually shoots part of itself at opponents. Larger and stronger than the other races, the Parasites are forced to eat large quantities of food, but that suits them just fine. They eat the dead and decaying bodies of units that have fallen. Parasites rely almost entirely on overpowering melee combat, and have no projectile weaponry at all.Parasite MotherThe Parasite Mother is the starting unit of the Parasites and is unique in her colony. She can birth all Parasite units and can also transport units inside her body for faster transportation. This revolting creature can attack with her grotesque head while staying protected behind her hard shell of a body.StrengthDefenseSpeedHit PointsFoodFood DecrementPoop AmountBuild Speed132047250500.5545n/aCostAttack DelayAttack LengthAttack PrepAttack Min RangeAttack Max RangeAttack RadiusAttack Velocityn/a32050010082.51.0Strength AmountStrength TimeDefense AmountDefense TimeSpeed AmountSpeed TimeAttack Speed AmountAttack Speed Time00000000Parasite PrincessA Parasite Princess is much like the Parasite Mother, but is smaller and cannot birth as many units as the Mother can, nor is she as strong.
