Have you ever been late for school?你曾经上学迟到过吗?(1)ever作副词,意为“曾经”,用于现在完成时、过去时或过去完成时中,表示“到现在以前的任何时候”。I ever saw him at school.我曾经在学校见过他。(2)Have you ever+过去分词?是现在完成时的一般疑问句,表示过去发生的事情对现在造成的影响。Have you ever been to Beijing?你曾经去过北京吗?Yes, twice.是的,去过两次。3. He was so excited that he couldnt say a word.他激动得说不出话来。(2)hundreds of 意为“数以百计的”,类似的表达法还有:thousands of(成千上万的);billions of(数十亿的);millions of(数百万的)。(3)set off意为“激起;引起”。Eg. The behavior set off a strike by workers.这种行为激起了工人的罢工。3. Many people ran to their local supermarket to buy as such spaghetti as they could.许多人跑到当地超市买尽可能多的意大利面包。(1) 句中不定式to buy作目的状语。 Eg. I rushed into the room to fetch my umbrella.我冲进屋里拿伞。(2) as muchas,意为“像一样多”,其中much后跟不可数名词。如跟可数名词应用many而不用much.Eg. He brought as many books as he could.他带来了尽可能多的书。(3) asas之间还可是形容词或副词的原级,如as soon as possible或as soon as you/can/could,意为“尽可能快地”。Eg. You must be as careful as possible when you do your homework.当你做作业的时候要尽可能地细心。四、达标测试: (1)用方框中所给单词的适当形式填空fell, convince, hoax, reveal, announce, describe1.
