北戴河英语培训总结为期五天的英语培训结束了,首先我要感谢各级领导,感谢领导组织了这次让我收获颇丰的外语培训,给了我这个难得的与加拿大外教罗伯特老师共同交流、共同学习、共同进步的机会;还要感谢培训中心的李科长和刘科长,感谢他们在这五天里为我们的食宿、学习忙前忙后。说句心里话,在刚接到调训通知时,心里并没有感觉这次培训会对自己的能力将会有什么提高。因为作为英语专业的学生我深知英语学习是一个漫长的积累过程,要想学好英语,时间会起很大的作用,长时间的学习积累才是最行之有效的方法,短短的五天培训能有多大的帮助呢?真正开始上课后,我才发现不像自己当初想象的那样。为我们上课的外教罗伯特先生教学经验丰富,语言风趣幽默,课堂气氛活跃,且为人和蔼可亲,我们大家都被他的教学风格所感染。在这名外教的身上我学到了很多东西,如交往中的礼节,西方人谈判的风格等。罗伯特先生教学细心且认真,记得第一次见面他便纠正我们chairs和cheers的细微发音区别,课堂上他还教我们如何握手。通过这五天的学习生活,大家和他都建立了一种友好的关系,最重要的是我们感受到了异国的文化,这些在日常的生活中我们是感受不到的。在这五天时间里,我们每天都是在非常轻松愉悦的氛围和环境中度过,去感受异国文化,去领略真正的美式英语,去畅谈各种话题,如娱乐、工作、时尚及笑话等等。这些看似和商务英语关系不大的话题,却让我们不知不觉中融入了与外教的交流之中。虽然刚开始我们也不敢轻易发言,生怕哪句话说错了被外教笑话了,也被同行小看了,但是听着罗伯特先生轻松、幽默的话语,随着他的不断分组提问,我们也不由自主的开始了与他的对话,每当说完一句或回答完他提出的问题,看到他的点头和满意的笑容,我们便明白他知道我们要表达的思想,也就更有了和他交流的勇气和信心,随后几天我们也更加努力,交流也非常的和谐自然。古语曾说过“授之以鱼不如授之以渔”,学习英语正如这句话所含的意义一样,重要的是要掌握方法,有了方法剩下的就是把功夫用在平时的积累上了。通过北外和这次北戴河两次培训,老师们把听说读写译的方法已经都教给了我们,我参加了这两次培训受益匪浅,试着按这些方法去做感觉学习效率提高不少,现将我日常的信息情况做如下总结:自08年毕业到现在时间还不长,专业知识更是不敢放下,自08年10月入矿我便一直在井下一线单位工作,结合我的专业每次下井我都把看到的、学到的新名词转换成英语,但时间不长我就遇到了很大的麻烦,学的单词很大一部分都用不上,很多机械设备和采煤运输方法无法用适当的英语表达,印象最深的记得一次单位技术员问我支护用的棚子怎么说,我一下子难住了。通过这八个月的井下工作我深刻的认识到学的东西不能致用,对煤矿英语这方面自己差的还很多,为补齐这块短板,我便在电脑上查了许多关于煤矿方面的英语词汇,有时间就记一些。对我帮助最大的就是在北外的培训中开设了煤矿英语这门课程,煤矿英语这本教材用英语全面的讲述了煤矿生产的全过程,从开拓到运输,由采煤工艺到机械机电,通过学习这本书,我的短板逐渐成为了我的优势。除了在井下一线,还在我矿机关人力资源部工作了近一年,这一年我接触到了工资分配,各种保险, 考勤及劳动合同签订和退休等一系列工作。这些工作和工人息息相关。在这个部门我以为用好电脑就可以了,自己学的专业可以不用了。没想到我的概念错了,人力部的同志经常发表论文,论文的摘要必须翻译成英语,他们常问我一些词怎么翻译,有时自己也没办法,确实大学为了应付考试、过级背的那些词不太够用,有时自己写的英语文章叫懂英语的人看人家又说我写的太学生气,一眼就看出是学校写作文的格式、语言。面对这种困难我思想越发紧张,在英语学习上更是不敢松懈,我常听外语新闻以锻炼听力和学习固定表达法,看中国日报以了解时事和掌握真正的英语表达方式和写作思想,努力使自己所写所表达更加西方化。时光飞逝,五天的培训时间很快过去了。通过这五天, 我得到了锻炼,能力有了提高,同时也看到了自己的差距和不足,这次培训深深地激励了我,我要更加勤奋的工作学习,弥补不足,更快的达到集团公司的要求,用自己的一技之长为公司的需求尽一份力量。The Summary of the English Training in BeidaiheFor the five-day English training , first I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the leaders who organize such a fruitful English training and give me the unique opportunity to communicate, study and make progress with the Canadian foreign teacher-Robert. Meanwhile, I will show my gratitude to Director Li and Director Liu of the Training Center. During the five days, they were so warm-hearted and busy with our accommodation and study.To tell the truth, when I received the training notice before the training, I didnt believe that this training will do much help to my English improvement. As a student of English major, I fully realize that English learning is a long accumulative progress. Time plays an important role in English learning. What can short five-day training do?But at the beginning of the class, I found I was totally wrong. Our foreign teacher, Robert is an amiable person. He is full of teaching experience and his language is humorous and witty. So he makes the class interesting and active and we were all infected by his teaching style. I have learned a lot from this foreign teacher, such as social etiquette and negotiating styles of the western culture and so on. Mr. Robert is very careful and earnest. I remember that when we met for the first time he began to tell us the fine distinction between the two words-chairs and cheers and how to shake hands in our daily life. During the five days, we have established a kind relationship with him. And whats more, I have experienced another culture. Thats what I can not experience in our daily life.During these days, we studied in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere to feel the exotic culture, to taste the real American-style English and to chat of all kinds of topics, such as entertainment, jobs, fashion, jokes and so on. It was these topics which seem unrelated with business English that made us unknowingly blend into the exchange with this foreign teacher. At first, we were hesitated to answer questions, fearing to be laughed by the foreign teacher and colleagues. But with his humorous speech and constantly grouping questions, we couldnt help talking with him. Seeing his nodding and satisfied smile appeared on his face, we would realize that he know what we want to express. We were encouraged and more confident in ourselves. In the following days, we tried our best to work harder and make a more harmonious atmosphere to exchange our ideas.English learning is like the old saying,” To teach fishing is better than to give fish.” It is important to master the method first. Then one can put his efforts into the daily accumulation. According to the two trainings in BFSU and Beidaihe, I have mastered the basic methods of listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating. According to these methods, I have benefited a lot and my learning efficiency have greatly enhanced.It is not long since I graduated from the university in 2008 and I have not laid down my major. While working underground, I always tried to translate what Id seen and learnt into English. But time by time, I was on a hot seat in doing this. What I have learnt in the college cant correctly express these special words, such as the technical terms in mechanical equipment and coal mining transportation. The most impressive time I remembered was that time when a technician asked me how to say the word shed support in English, I was completely at sea. According to the eight months underground working, I deeply understand what I have learnt in the college can not meet the practical needs. In the aspect of coal mining English, I have still a lot to learn. To close the gap, I have searched lots of vocabularies on coal mine. Once I have the time, I will recite some. The most helpful thing to me is that the BFSU training offers a course named Coal Mine English. This book fully explained the whole process of mine production in English from exploration to transportation and from mining technology to electrical machinery. By learning this book, my shortcoming has changed into my superiority. Besides working at the production line, I have been in the Human Resource Department for about one year. During that year, I have gotten close contact with a series of activities, such as payment distribution, various types of insurances, checking on work attendance, labor contract and retirement. These jobs are in close attach with the workers. In this department I thought its ok if one can use computer and my major is out of use. But I was wrong. People in the HR department often publish papers and the abstracts must be written in English. When asked how to translate some words, sometimes I am not sure about them. Surely as for the tests in college, the voca
