My name is guohaotian, a student comes from Heilongjiang Institute of Technology. My major is Soil mechanics and foundation works. My professional direction is geotechnical engineering .During my past 2 years study, I spent most of my time on study; I have built a solid foundation of professional knowledge, as well as a rich experience of social activities. For example, I won awards in Science and Technology Culture Festival in our university this year, and got the second prize in the Mathematical Modeling Competition at School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering last year. This summer, I took practice in some factories of LuoYang. It enhances the major knowledge and the understanding of the textbooks knowledge. Personally, Im a determined person, always willing to achieve higher goals. In addition, Im humorous and easy-going, enjoying a good relationship among my classmates. In my spare time, I like to read professional books regarding how to deal with problems. As for my sport interest, I could not deny my great interest is basketball. Playing this game brings me a lot of glory, passion and happiness. You can make a perfect shoot, which is only by cooperation through 5 people. By the way, this summer my class won the third prize at the Mechanical & Electrical Cup among 56 teams in our faculty. Thats my pride. Through college life, I have learned how to balance between study and entertainment.Secondly, I want to talk about is why do I want to read a master after graduation. Although I have broad views in many aspects and grasp the essential knowledge of the major, I think at present, I can only do many things in a superficial level, but not be competent to do things professionally owing to lack of ample knowledge and ability. So I think further study is still urgent for me to realize self-value better. The major that I hope pursue for my further education is geotechnical engineering . Because I find it is playing a more and more important role in our modern country. We are living in a world cant do without geotechnical engineering.At last, CUMT, my alma mater, with a highly qualified faculty and strong academic environment is the university I have long admired.
