巩固、拓展与应用为主体的高中英语单元复习课-侧记人教版M6 U3 A Healthy Life 单元复习浙江省泰顺中学(325500) 苏永超 近年来,温州市组织的各类评审上课都采用一种综合性很强的课型单元复习课。单元复习课不是单一的重复,所以在基础练习、材料选择、同步拓展和综合运用方面都有较大难度。在设计教学时,教师既要熟悉整个单元的内容,又要兼顾听说读写各种技能在整节课中的有效整合和时段的合理分配和侧重。此外,单元复习课还要考虑活动的趣味性和有效性。笔者先后参加过这类上课四次,最初有些慌乱,现在有了基本思路。笔者认为,单元复习课总的来说应该遵循以下原则。一 话题为依据,扩展话题内涵和外延。在新授课教学中,学生已经在教师的引导下获取课文所传达的信息,同时也把课文内容作为话题,组织学生进行讨论、议论和评价了,所以在复习课的时候可以更多地进行延伸和借鉴活动。教师根据所复习的语言知识和技能,以话题为中心展开一系列的活动。尤其是听力练习和阅读材料的选择更要重视话题的相关性和技巧的延续性。二 以语言知识巩固为基础,应用为目的。在新授课时注重对一些语言知识的理解、记忆和初步运用,所以复习课的主要目的是巩固所学词汇、短语和句型,在课堂上给学生提供多变的语境,不断应用语言内容。学生在对这些语言知识运用时,不断强化其内在意义和功能,达到掌握的目的。三 语法复习交际化,强化在实际语境中运用。一般说来,在高中阶段,语法内容较多,每一个项目的容量大,所以很多时候教师只是罗列语法条目以达到“多快好省”的目的,而实际上,这样的做法不能算“好”。因为学生学到的是死板的条条框框,真正需要在具体的语言环境下使用时,就不知所措了。因此,语法复习要交际化,设置情景使复习和使用语法过程情景化, 让学生体会鲜活的语法, 并体验到成功的喜悦。四 写作复习重技能,最大化地应用新学语言和话题在人教版的教科书目录部分,给出了每个单元的写作技巧。教师在新授课时已经把相关技巧教授了,所以复习课时,教师要设计出符合话题和语言使用的具体任务引导学生使用技巧和新学语言知识。五 多种辅助手段,提高单元复习的有效性。 多媒体辅助教学具有形象直观、丰富有趣、图文声并茂等特点利用现代化教学手段辅助课堂教学,可以帮助教师更好地实现自己的教学意图,节约教学时间,增加教学密度,提高课堂教学效率。根据学生实际、教学内容实际,恰当地选用媒体形式可以达到事半功倍的效果。六 尽可能关注到全体学生的学习效果。单元复习课是一个单元知识的总结和提升,也是用来检测学生学习目标的达成情况的有效手段。如果在教学过程中出现问题,教师要根据实际情况及时对教学内容和教学时间进行调整,让最低层面的同学都能达到本单元的最基本的教学目标。 以下是笔者最近一次参加上课的教学过程,通过设计思路分析来看看这些原则在具体课堂中的体现。课题为:复习模块六第三单元A Healthy Life。教学过程及分析Step 1 Warming-up Ask a question for students to share their ideas with desk-mates.What was a healthy life in your mind before and after learning the unit? Is there any misunderstanding about healthy life you have clarified? 设计思路分析 用问题的方式引入话题,直截了当,在复习阶段是不错的选择。学生凭印象或者是简单浏览课文就能想起学过的内容。当然,对于不同风格的单元话题导入的方式还可以通过格言理解、词汇练习、故事、小测验、视频和简短阅读等方式。Step 2 Revision of content and vocabulary Ss fill in the missing words in the following suggestions.What suggestions did Granddad give to his grandson? 1) The long and active life must be due to the healthy life you live.2) Its easy to become addicted to(链接一) cigarettes, so leave it.3) After smoking, your body will become accustomed to having nicotine, so dont try.4) The harmful effects(链接二) of smoking are lungs and heart diseases.5) Be determined to quit and dont be disappointed or ashamed(链接三) if not successful the first time.链接一:被动结构表达主动意义总结。 be addicted to, be accustomed to, be based on, be prepared for, be faced with, be located in, be determined to, be lost in, be drowned in, be used to等。练习:选词填空 Nowadays, a lot of people are used to drinking too much alcohol during the dinner which produces many harmful effects and have no real benefits. So why do they do it? Some are accustomed to it while others believe it makes them look hospitable. Still others think it will help with stress in their life possibly due to pressure from their jobs. What they dont realize is that they will get into the habit and eventually become addicted. A few people are determined to quit at last and of course it is a very painful process. 链接二:afford, affect, effective, effect, effort 练习 The AIDS patients cant afford the expensive medicine, which greatly affect their normal life, so the Chinese Red Cross has made every effort to take effective measures to help them. Were sure that it will soon bring good effect on their life. 链接三:学生自主复习词汇的三个层次(disappoint为例)讲解 第一层次:同源词:disappoint, appoint, disappointment, disappointed, disappointing, disappointedly等 第二层次:同类词、同义词或反义词拓展:satisfy, confuse, excite, annoy, upset,surprise等。 第三层次:这一类词的共同用法总结。练习:The little boy feels bored with this boring book, that is to say, the book bores the boy absolutely and he wants to get rid of this boredom.Mr Smith, _(amaze) at the_(excite) sights of Hangzhou City, is absolutely _ (satisfy) with this trip.设计思路分析 词汇复习一直以来都受到老师的重视。一般来说,词汇复习以课文内容的复习为载体,巩固和拓展词汇的内涵和外延。并通过设计的各种微型情景让学生理解练习词汇。并且在词汇复习时适当融入学生学习策略指导。Step 3: Revision of content of Passage 2 Revise the content by watching a video called “Love under the sun” directed by Andy Lau and. Ss watch and discuss or share what theyve noted down.Is smoking the only thing we should say “no”? What else has been mentioned in the unit? (AIDS) What is it? But how can we stop “HIV”? Find out the similar advice and misunderstanding both mentioned in the text and video. (The lyric of the video: How should I say about AIDS? So-and-so has AIDS. What do you think? What do we do? I hear AIDS is contagious. No matter what you do. Theres no prevent. Coughing, hand shake or sneezing. You must be cautious. You must be cautious.Wrong! Shame on you. Coughing doesnt transmit AIDS. Neither does sneezing. Neither does close contact. HIV is the real cause AIDS. Understand? AIDS, when having, wear a condom. Do it right. Or face grave consequence. AIDSsharing a needle can also cause harm. AIDS can spread from a mother to her baby. Or when infected blood or sexual fluid gets inside. Understand? People come and go in the washroom. This job has its risks. AIDS is no joke. Take it seriously. Liar, nonsense. Look here. Listen to me. A hand shakes, a kiss on the cheek, a hug. Theres no need to panic.)设计思路分析 通过看与课文高度吻合的爱滋病防护的视频(约3分钟)来巩固课文内容比单纯地讲解更能吸引学生的注意力。学生通过观看、记录和分享来巩固课文内容。 同时也可以调节前面大量输入可能带来的疲劳。如果这个单元的两篇文章有很多共同点或是内容连贯的,也可以采用多篇结合来复习课文内容。Step 4 Revision of grammaruse of “it” Watch another video and tell the group members about:What you feel about the story with structures like: I find it difficult/ heartbroken to Its amazing/ disappointing/ astonishingWhat your advice is with structures like: Its no good/ use/ Its time Its better/effective/ due to There is no need to.(链接四)视频总共2分钟,解说部分如下: 链接四:Theres or Its 练习并总结1) There is someone at the door. I think its the man to deliver the milk.2) Lets hurry! There is a long way to go.3) Theres no doubt that he has achieved great success.4) Theres no possibility that he will cheat us.5) Its no good feeling annoyed when you cant get sleep.(这里过渡到下一环节) 设计思路分析 看一个相对沉重的关于河南爱滋病村的片子,让学生说说感受和提出可行的建议可以把前面学过的知识有效地利用起来。同时,复习和应用语法项目“It”的相关句型。并注意容易混淆的there be 句型的辨析。Step 5 Revision of writing instructionsletter of advice 1. Show a letter from a student about sleep problem and ask Ss to give advice to him. Dear fellow student, I have such a terrible time falling asleep every night that Im always tired and its affecting my schoolwork. What should I do? The monthly exam is coming and Im really feeling upset about it. Yours, Xiaolu 2. Revise the writing skills of this kind of persuasive writing by giving them several proper/improper statements. 1) Answer the request for advice as soon as possible. 2) Try to be polite and helpful. 3) Dont use an example of your own. 4) Make the le
