The lesson Im going to talk about is Unit 9 Do you want to go to a movie ? Section B in Grade Seven Book 1 . My talk will be divided into five parts. They are :Content Analysis,Teaching Method Analysis, Leaning Method Analysis,Teaching Procedures and Blackboard Designing. .Content Analysis1.Status and functionThis unit is about movies.It has two parts. In section A,the students have learned how to talk about preferences and different kinds of movies .In section B,students will go on learning and practicing their preferences and make a brief commentary on different movies. The material is closed to the students real life and students are very interested in it .According to the material and the level of the students , I established the following aims and demands.2.Teaching aimsAims of the knowledgea. Teaching Method AnalysisIn this lesson ,I mainly adopt Five Step Method and Task-Based Language Teaching. I designed several tasks for language practice and ask my students to cooperate with each other. That is to say, Learning by doing and by using In order to make the class more vivid and lively,the multi-media computer system and some cards are used in this lesson. . Learning Method AnalysisStudents of this age are full of curiosity. But for most students in rural areas ,they are not familiar with movies and they are too shy to speak EnglishSo students should be encouraged to take part in varied kinds of activities. Competion and cooperation help them finish the task and have fun learning EnglishNow , Ill mainly talk about my teaching procedures.Teaching proceduresStep1. Warming-up Sing the song Do-Re-Me and tell the students its from the movie The Sound Of Music ,an exciting movie .Then,Ill show some posters and review different kinds of movies. Because some words are difficult to remember ,Its necessary to review them.Step2. PresentationTask 1. Watch a video and use some posters to present the new words. After the students learn the new words , I can use some cards with different signs on them to play a game and check if the students master the description words . Task 2. Make comments on different movies .let the students talk about their preferences and give reasons.For example, I (dont) like . I think are/is She likes (doesnt like) .She thinks are /is .When they are familiar with it, Ill have a competition to encourage them to make up more setencesStep3. listening1.let the students listen and circle the description words in activity 12.listen again and finish the chart below.
