Teaching proceduresStep1.warm-up and revisionDaily greetings to the studentsShow a photo of a city, ask where it is. Help them answer, Its New York. Then continue asking, Do you want to travel there? Revise the language point of unit5, say ,If you want to travel there, youll work hard. And you must speak English.Step2. Leading-inlearn the new lesson by the questions.Ask, can you speak English? When did you start learning English?How long have you been learning it? Tell them, Today well learn the new tense. show the language goals of this period on the screen.(该活动通过组织学生对话,一方面复习前面学的“一般过去时“,另一方面为学习“现在完成进行时“做好铺垫。活动中学生乐意说出自己的体验, 这样在轻松开放的氛围中 ,体验和训练语言结构。而且学生之间的信息差,也有利于激发学生积极参与调查的积极性。调查后的汇报,也能及时肯定学生的成绩,并对其不足进行了适时的点评。)Step 3. 1a Read the instructions to the class. Say, You will be talking with other students about some things you did in the last 24 hours.show the words at and for on the screen. Say, You will be using the words at and for in some answers. Help the students form groups of three or four students. Point to the three questions. Read the questions to the class. Say, Now ask and answer these questions in your groups. Point to the words at and for on the screen. Say, Use at in sentences like this: I started class at 10:00. Use for in sentences like this: I slept for ten hours.(这三个问题是为了复习和练习学过的一般过去时、现在完成时及How long句型。)Step4. Present the target languageShow some pictures on the screen. Help students understanding the target language. How long have/has doing ? From step3, ask students, How long have you been playing basketballs? Do you like balls? And do you like collecting balls?Let them guess the meaning of the word “collect”. Then explain another language goal, That is talking about hobbies. (借助学生熟悉的生活情景 ,为学生提供了大量的感知表象,降低了理解新语言现象的难度。而且时间段的展示,使学生一目了然,很好的感知新的语言结构。)Step5. PracticeAsk some questions, have students answer by using the target language.Step6.1b Let students fill in the chart. then explain the structure(该活动,给学生感知、体验新的语言结构提供了很好的语境。通过点拨,让学生在听的过程中学会抓住关键词,学生的听力得到很好训练。)Step7. 1c Pair workShow a picture of a dialogue. Have the students make up new dialogue as the model. Invite some pairs to act out.(该环节为学生提供大量熟知的事例 ,并为学生操练提供了足够的训练机会,从而逐步掌握这一语言结构;加之小组竞争机制的引入,很好的调动了各组学生的积极性。而且运用 for 和since 尝试不同的表达方式,有助于开拓学生视野,培养创新意识和能力。也让学生知道明星成功背后的艰辛和努力. )Step8.Memory gameShow a form on the screen, let students look through it. And answer the following question.(通过游戏挑战赛的方式,让学生的瞬间记忆,不仅激活了课堂,而且紧张有序,提高了学生参与的积极性。)Step9 Group workHave students interview their classmates, Whats your hobby? How long have you been collecting it? Then read their interview results.(此环节要求全员参与,具有开放性,学生可以离开自己的座位,选择调查的对象。在调查中,学生乐意说出自己的体验,而且急于想知道同伴的信息,这样,学生都会尽最力展示自己,体验和运用语言结构。调查后的汇报又避免了学生只图热闹而不学知识的弊端。这样,在具体的语言情境中,很好的
