1.“How is my daughter now,Dc Chen?”Mum asked vexedly.“Shes OK now,dont worry too much about it. But I need to tell you the truth.”“What?”“On your daughters face ,there will be a scar forever.”Mum said nothing and just came to see me when I was only 3 years old.In that year, bad luck came to me and almost changed my life.I fell from the chair and my left face was pressed down by the broken bowls. Fresh blood oozed out and I was delivered to the hospital.Being a patient,To be the truth ,was a really happy thing.As mum and dad came to look after me every day and brought me lots of decilious food and fresh fruits. I just need to lie on my bed and wait for the scar being better. But on the other hand,being a patient was an extremely painful thing.With nothing to do ,I could just stay in bed and bear the pain from the wounded scar.It was a really miserable time.I kept encouraging myself to hang on and told me I could make it .And also because of this ,a ugly scar was added to my face.From that time, I always encourange myself to be confident and not care about what others look on you.Thanks to my scar on my face,I often practice self-confidence and I learn much from it.2. all the superstitions and old wives tales I know:1)Throw back the first fish you catch then youll be lucky the whole day fishing.2)Its bad luck to get married when the fish arent biting, according to the custom of some fisherfolk. A fish should always be eaten from the head toward the tail. Dream of fish: someone you know is pregnant. If you count the number of fish you caught, you will catch no more that day. 4)You cant blow when eating noddles because you will blow off good fortune which belong to you.5) A snake entering into your home is a forerunner of misfortune. The fourth old wivestale was told by my grandmother when I was very young.At that time when I was living in my grandmas home,I was very exciting to eat decilious noodles cooked by my grandma.But when I was eating the boiling hot noodles ,I got used to blow.Grandma stopped me and told me the right way to eat noodles.She told me that you cant blow off because the fortune would be thrown away.So I develop the habit of not blowing when eating noodles to welcome good luck in my future life.3.What I still dont know:When I write, I still dont know which word is the most suitable that should be chosen to use.I am still not very good at vocabulary. When I need to write a formal writing,I often use the informal words,which is ascribed to a typital mistake.Whats more,I sometimes use the wrong tense and the wrong person.As is the case that“I”and “we” are often mixed.When I write a poem, I dont have the ability to make a very short sentence but meanwhile convey the same meaning.The poem I write is a little bit long and tasteless.The sentences I make is graceless.I think I need to read more poems and keep writing.When I write an essay,I usually cant keep to the point and the essay is often out of order.After finishing an essay and reading it again ,I always feel the article is like a pile of weeds.Maybe If I get off the topic or run out of ideas, keep writing anyway. If necessary, write nonsense or whatever comes into my head, or simply scribble: anything to keep the hand moving.Thanks to these what I still dont know ,I believe I need more practice of free writing in my future study.4.I will set a day for all of people who dont want to get up as early as they must.On the day,everyone should get up after 8:00 p.m. and and we could call the day as “slackers Day”.As we all know,especially we students, most of us want to get up late in the morning and do not need to hurry for classes, work, for housework,for anything we must do.On that day,housewives dont need to get up very early to prepare breakfast for their family and dont have to wash clothes,go to the maket, buy vegetables.The students dont need to get up at about 6 oclock and hurry to class with drowsy look and have a all-day listless class.Workers dont have to go to work on time as before on that day.On the streets, before 8 oclock, there are no cars ,no buses and no opening shops,anything is suck in sleep as night.Everyone could enjoy a good morning, have a nice mood to do what they need to do then with a high efficiency.Although the day is named as slackerss day, it is actually honored for the laborious people.Thanks for their hard-working and their contributions to our society. 5. Yesterday my friend and I visited the famous historic town-Qibao.It is located in Minhang District in Shanghai.We took underground line 7 and 9 to there.It took us more than 1 hour to get there.There are so many people and it is very busy. The town was built in Northern Song Dynasty and grew into a prosperous business center during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Qibao is the Chinese for seven treasures and there are two popular theories about its derivation. I bought many special local products,which looks like very delicious.There are lots of interesting places to eat.We ate Guoqiao rice noodles for lunch and coconut milk as a drink. The street has a long history which represents part of Chinese culture and lots of foreigners come to visit it. As the only ancient town forming part of greater Shanghai, with a history spanning over one thousand years, Qibao is more than just a living fossil of ancient Chinese conurbation and urban planning.We took lots of photos and had a good time there.Modification:“We took underground line 7 and 9 to th
