With the development of communications, especially the development of wireless communications, wireless network became the hot topics of computer network research.This course will teach the hot topics in network research, and analyze some real system. This course is not so much about the nuts and bolts of networks, but rather focuses on how to do network research.It will introduce active research areas in the field of networking. This year, we target: wireless networks and Internet protocols.Course Outline A. Wireless Networks Ch1 Wireless cellular systems (1G, 2G-GSM/CDMA, 3G, 4G) Ch2 Wireless LANs and MAC layer protocols (IEEE 802.11/WiFi, Bluetooth, ZigBee) Ch3 Ad hoc wireless networks (routing, multicast, network coding, ad hoc TCP, DTN)Ch4 Sensor networksB.
