Unit3 Going Shopping说课稿Good morning, everyone! Its really my great honor to have the opportunity to present my teaching ideas here. The lesson plan I want to talk about today is Unit3 Going Shopping from BookI. To make my presentation much clearer,Ill explain it in eight aspects. First of all, Ill introduce the philosophy of my teaching plan According to the teaching syllabus, the English learning of the vocational school students should focus on the improvement of daily language skills. On the basis of this, the students will learn how to learn through the teaching and learning activities. So I will offer the real situations combined with suitable activities to foster their self-learning ability as well as the listening and speaking abilities. Its rather important to make analysis of the learner factors as we make the teaching design according to the specific conditions of the students. The lesson is designed for the students majoring in foreign trade English from Grade One of our school. They are better in English than other students. Furthermore, English level is closely related to their future career. Thus they have great enthusiasm and motivation in English learning. Now, its turn to analyze the course content. It consists of four aspects. First is the introduction of the status and function of the course.Its the second period of listening and speaking lesson about shopping with arranged time of 45 minutes. It plays an important role in the Unit, as its a lesson which combines the English learning with the Ss daily affair “shopping”. And the Ss will make preparations for the later lessons of the unit after the period. According to the analysis above as well as keep in accordance with the new teaching syllabus standard, I set the following teaching objectives. A. Knowledge ObjectivesBy the end of the class, the Ss will comprehend the expressions and sentence patterns about shopping B. Ability ObjectivesThey will be able to understand the listening materials involving shopping and carry out basic conversations about the topic in English.C. Affection ObjectivesThey are also supposed to get awareness of the marketing competition and realize the two sides of net shopping and TV shopping. I hope to arouse their interest and set up self-confidence in English learning by completing the class tasks.To fulfill the objectives in an efficient way, my teaching will focus on 1.How to help the ss master the expressions and sentence patterns2.How to help them understand the listening material and make up dialogues.Teaching difficulties However, its always a challenge to irritate the ss to join in the classroom activities and encourage them to speak out their ideas in public. In order to reach the teaching aims and solve the teaching difficulties, I will take advantage of the following teaching methods:1.task-based teaching method2. situational teaching method 3. pleasant teaching method.I will create a vivid, relaxing class atmosphere for the ss to complete various tasks in class.Professor Zhu had ever stated in her speech:Tell me, I just forget; Show me, I only remember; Involve me, I will learn. That is to say, we should do every effort to make the ss the real masters in class while we teacher act as the director. Its the destination of our teaching to enable the ss learn by themselves. Thus, I apply the following leaning strategies:1.cooperative and competitive learning strategy2. autonomous learning strategyTeaching aids and preparations: Before the class, I will divide the class into four groups. In the class, I need multi-media computer, tape-recorder and two smile medals.Teaching Process: My teaching will be carried out in five steps Well begun, half done I will make efforts in attracting the attention and arouse their interest in the lesson at the very beginning of the class. Thus I design a guessing game (7mins) for the Lead-in part.I will ask the ss to guess what I did at the weekend according to the hints I offer. Its easy for them to get the answer: I did shopping.Then I will show some pictures of different items like articles for daily use, articles of clothes, cosmetics, pills and let the students guess where I bought them. The students can tell most of the shopping places such as department store, supermarket with their background knowledge. Of course, they may meet difficulty in telling the difference between “drugstore” in China and in the West. I will take the chance to make the introduction of the cultural difference, the drug store in the West is similar to the grocery store in China.Moreover, I will have ss review the words “salesperson/shop assistant”, “cashier” and “customer” by matching the pictures with the words of profeesions. To consolidate the learning result as well as improve the listening skills. I arrange the listening practice here. I arrange listening tasks of three different levels for students. On the first listening, they will gain the general idea of the dialogue. Then I will train their ability of grasping specific information by doing true or false exercise. Some Wh-questions will be raised afterwards for ss to obtain some key information. Finally, I will require the ss to complete the dialogue by filling in the blanks to comprehend the important sentence structures involving shopping. The arrangement of listening exercise reduce the complication of the listening tasks. The ss can complete them one after another successfully. Besides this, the ss learn some sentence patterns involving shopping to prepare for the speaking practice. However, I will arrange a brainstorming(5mins) instead of the speaking afterwards as I think the accumulation of expressions is one of the basic factors of a successful oral practice. I activate the ss enthusiasm by holding competitions against groups. Through the activity, the ss can comprehend most of sentence structures about the topic. After the listening practice and expression accumulation, the ss have got well prepared for the speaking(22mins) practice. The situational teaching method will be combined with the task-based teaching method to stimulate their learning enthusiasm. At the same time, the ss will learn in the autonomous way. That means, the ss will act as the real masters in the activities and I will just play the role of an organizer, a helper, and a supervisor. I arrange two activities The first one is “Performing and dubbing” activity. Each group need to prepare conversations of doing shopping. But they will act it out silently. Instead another group will dub for them. In this way, the ss will consolidate the sentence structures they learnt. Furthermore, they have transform what they learnt into what they possessed through the activity.The other activity is holding a free discussion. I will list groups of foreign chain supermarkets such as Walmart, Hollymall, Metro, Auchan,Carrefour and some domestic supermarkets such as Sanjiang, Lianhua, Xianjiangxia and Jiabei. The ss will compare the two groups of supermarket and choose the group where they prefer to do shopping. They need to tell the reason for their choice. As it is a comparatively difficult task, I will offer help for ss to complete the task by offering the hints, the sentence structures and reference sentences. They will get consciousness that as the globalization of the world, the competition in the market will get intenser and we need carry out actions immediately to make improvement of our domestic supermarkets. The last step of my teaching procedure is homework. In my opinion, the homework is a good method to extend the English learning outside the class. And a qualified homework can enable the ss learn more than only knowledge.I assign the ss to make a survey about the net shopping experience or TV shopping experience of four people about their opinion of the service, the quality and price.
