(2)Help students to develop the senseof cooperationand petitionthrough group works,to develop their personalitiesand creativities.Part3Important anddifficultpointsStudents canuse reading skills tounderstand themeaning ofthe passagesand canuse the information they get tosolve problems.Part4Teaching methodsIn this topic,I willuse CommunicativeTeaching Methodand Task-based languageTeaching.I designsome tasksto helpthe studentslearn.I willgive themenough chancesto practiceandusegroupworkto letthe studentstake anactive partin allkinds ofactivities.That is“Learning bydoing,learning byusing”.Let the students bethe mastersoftheclass teaching.Part5Teaching ProcedureStep1.Pre-reading&Leading inShow studentsa videoanout wildanimalsbeingkilledand thenask themWhathas happenedto theseanimals?What willhappen ifhumanbeingscontinue todo likethis?The purposeof thisstep isto letstudents realisehow importantand urgentto protectwidlife and then arouse their desire to read the passageto getinformation aboutwildlifeprotection.Before readingthe passage,ask studentsto lookat the title and the picturesto predictwhat the passage ismainly about.This step istodevelopthestudentsability topredict thecontent ofthe passagewith thehelp ofthetitle,photos etc.and thenarouse theirdesiretoread the text tocheck theiranswers.Step2.While-reading Fast-reading Questions:Which placesdid Daisyvisit?What animalsdid shemeet?How manyparts canthepassagebe dividedinto?This stepis designedto helpstudentstouse fastreadingskillssuchasscanning,skimming to get thegeneral ideaandthestructure ofthetext.So itwill beeasy forstudentstocarry ondetailed reading.4.While-reading Askstudentstoreadthepassage carefullyand afterthat,I willdivide thestudents intodifferent groupsand letthem bethe owneroftheclass.In thiscourse,I willgive eachgroup acertain taskto finish,suchas:Give areport aboutthesituationoftheantelope;have anintervew withthe elephant;and designquestions aboutthe monkeyto letthestudentsin othergroups toanswer etc.The purposeof thisstepisto letstudents cooperatein eachgroup tofinish differenttasks withtheinformationtheygetwhile reading.Thus thisprocedure candevelopthestudentsreadingskillstogetdetailed informationand canusetheinformation tosove problems.Also,this isagoodchance todeveloptheirteam spirits.5.Post-reading在这一环节中我设计了多种形式的活动来检查和评价学生的理解掌握情况。 Play agame.让学生通过游戏的形式,对本课内容进行巩固扩展;这样做既巩固了所学知识,让学生进一步了解野生动物保护方面的知识;又培养了学生的参与、竞争意识。 Discussion:Topic: (1)Why aresome wild animals indanger ofdying out?What shouldwe dotoprotectwildanimals?
